View Full Version : RX~ Mazda Part Numbers and Diagram Pics HELP Information THREAD.
I have decided to offer my services  to any RX-8 Members (from any country) who are looking for Genuine Mazda Spare Parts
Information in the form of Part Numbers and or Diagrams Pictures Exploded to show every Mazda Spare Part pertaining to that area requested.
As an example 'REAR AXLE' Components and the Genuine Part Number for a Rear Wheel Bearing. Mazda RX-8 MY 2009.
See Diagram "Red Highlight" with the "Part Number" listed to the RIGHT.
This sometimes can be very useful just to see the "Exploded Diagram" if you are reassembling something you have dismantled
and are not sure how it all goes back.
Please keep in mind that I am in Australia and there could be a slight delay, however, I try to check out the club site daily.
There may also be exceptions where I cant give you 100% accurate advice due to the fact that your particular country may
have country specific parts that I can't cross reference, however, I will tell you this at the time.
There may be an instance where your vehicles VIN Number is required, I will ask for this IF Needed, Via a PM to You.
BTW:::The Side (LH or RH Side) of ANY car (either left or right hand drive) is determined as you sit in your car, left is left, right is right.
NOT as you are looking at your car from the outside.
MAZDA PARTS MATCHING SERVICE
Sometimes when you are repairing your car you may lose a Nut, break a Bolt or Stud, or lose a Screw or a Clip??.
Let me know and I can tell you where you could find the part you want from somewhere else on your car that is not so important.
At least you can get your car back on the road while you wait for the new replacement to arrive.
ALSO.. If you have any old Mazda Parts with Part Numbers attached I can tell you exactly which model Mazda's they are
designed for or from 1970 on-wards, all I need is the Mazda Part Number.

Part number for 2004 Mazda RX8 MT starter and the part number for a 2008 Mazda RX8 MT starter. Hell might as well provide the 2009 MT if you have it to forestall future inquiries.
I'm just after the parts numbers so I'm sure I'm getting an upgraded starter for my 2004. Not sure if the P# has changed and wanted to verify.
Thanks.

Hello Ash...I'm looking for the part number for the plastic fasteners that hold the rear wheel well to the quarter panel. Thanks a lot for your help!
Hi, there are almost Hundreds of different fasteners or clips on this car..
I guess you are talking the ones that hold the Black plastic onto the rear bumper edge to rear wheel well, or are you talking the carpet type liner on wheel well.?
Part #...BC1D-56-145
Update, Have include the carpet type liner pic, if you can't read it tell me the number you want highlighted in red, I will then tell you the Mazda Number.
TheWulf 03-06-2009, 10:21 PM Hey Ash,
I am looking for the part number for the glass only (not the whole mirror casing) for a power mirror that is not heated, for a RHD Passenger side mirror.
My local Mazda dealer has agreed to let me order JDM parts but I need to get the part numbers.
Our USDM driver side mirrors are not convex at all, they are flat so that gives us a poor viewing angle. The JDM-passenger mirror is wider angle so I am hoping to swap it in.
Hope you can help! Didn't post my vehicle info because this won't show up under my vin :(
Thanks!
OK, External Door Mirrors can get a little tricky as some countries Design Rules stipulate different viewing mirrors.
I Australia, we are not permitted to have drivers mirrors that distorts the vision in any way, but, our Passenger LH ones are allowed to the convex look (Wide Angle).
WE share the same design mirrors with the UK, I cant confirm if the Japanese one is the same design, or the US for that matter on this one.
So, here is our LH Side Door Mirror Glass and Holder (the only way it comes) for a Wide Angle is FE27-69-1G7
I think you will be OK with this one as I believe the only design differences is in the External look of the mirror base etc, not the glass.
BTW: Just checked Montgomery's Mazda website (US) your normal LH one is a FE01-69-1G7

I have the factory parts manuals, but can't find a part number for the thermo pellet in the oil cooler that controls the oil temperature. Maybe your sheets will have it?
Hey Ash,
I have the factory parts manuals, but can't find a part number for the thermo pellet in the oil cooler that controls the oil temperature. Maybe your sheets will have it?
Hi Mate,
Well I have had NO luck either!
I was on the understanding that the Thermo Pellet(s) incorporated inside the Oil Cooler itself, I can't confirm this suggestion, can you?
If so I wonder how it would operate?
Does it restrict oil flow through the oil coolers?
Are we sure such a device is actually used in the RX-8?.
Either Series (I&II) I searched under found no Pellets or Thermostat type devices, only the Cooling system Thermostat and the Pellet in the Eccentric Shaft.
I have included the 2003 Australian (Single) oil coolers used in our SI.
And the Dual OC's used in the Series II RX-8's.
I can not see any form of Pellet whatsoever.
I am happy to do further "Searching" if anyone can shed some light to their existence and location.
ASH
Icemark 03-10-2009, 12:00 AM yep, same stuff I found. I guess I am going to rip apart a oil cooler this weekend and test it.
THanks for looking though!
BTW: I have confirmed that the E-shaft thermo pellet is the same one as in the FC, and FD.

Yes, you are correct, I just had a quick look and thought, that looks like Mazda to me. But, the pin is shown incorrectly in Jon316G's post.

The 2009 Model Manual Transmission (whole unit) RX8 part Number. I understand they are now using the 2006+ 6 speed MX5 Transmission. Wondering if we can use they are the same part number? Or if we can find a 2006 MX5 transmission what needs to be done? I may be paying out of pocket and looking for all options. Tks

OK, My EPC (Mazda's) only shows Part Numbers for a Short Engine (RX-8), not complete Transmission Part Numbers, it says if you are wanting these Part Numbers you (being a Mazda Parts Dealer) has to contact your Distributor, in your case MNAO, through your local retail Mazda Dealer.
I can tell you this ,YES, the 6 Speed Manual Transmissions in the 2009 RX-8 is that from an MX-5 BY DESIGN, however as an Assembly they are not the exact same, because.
1. The cast alloy casing is slightly thicker (Heavier Duty).
2. The gears and synchro's heavier duty.
3. The input shaft is also different , it's splines mate to the RX-8's Heavier Duty Clutch Plate, which for memory has a different spline/teeth count than the MX-5 Clutch Plate., they are different Mazda part numbers.
4. There is also a thin (3mm) flat tin spacer between the bell housing and rear rotor housing that "fills in" the open gaps, because of the design or style of the MX-5 Gear Box.
So, basically you may be able to fit an NC MX-5 Manual Transmission to an RX-8, but you have to keep in mind it is not designed to take the extra HP and RPM from a Rotary and I can not guarantee your clutch plate will install because of the different input shafts.
BTW, the Main shafts are identical in both cars because the Mazda Part Numbers are also the same.

how about a quick part number check of the series I 6-speed versus the NB miata? (similar to the above...)
OK, From a Parts point, yes they are Both a Y Type Gear Box.
The 2004MY (RX-8) and 2004MY (NB MX-5), do not share the same Main Shaft, like the NC and 09 RX-8 does.
They do share some Needle Roller Bearings, Synchro's, cir-clips, but most of the Gears (Because of Ratio's, and possibly durability) are different part numbers.
Cluster Gear and Input Shaft is also different.
But YES, the STYLE/Design of the Two Transmissions are very similar.

Ash, Will P/N F1Y4-33-23Z fit a 2004 GT 6-speed (18" wheels stock)? TIA for the help!
Umm,
Remember MY EPC is for Australian and UK spec cars, BUT, Mazda Parts goes by your Chassis or Vin Number, I ran some checks on the US (Montgomery Mazda Parts Site) and there appears two types of front pads listed for RX-8's...
F1Y2-33-23Z is for the 2004-2006 (MY) RX-8
F1Y4-33-23Z is for the 2007 ~ including the Series II 09 RX-8's
There is even a
F1Y7-33-23ZA Appears for the Series II 09 R3
I am pretty sure the difference between the F1Y2 and F1Y4 is for the larger disc rotors used from 2007 on all RX-8's.
The F1Y7 (09) is just a harder compound (remarks shown say for Sports or Harder Suspension)
SO, I stand corrected but I don't think the F1Y4's will fit on a US 2004 RX-8, you require the F1Y2's.
But, hey if you can let us know the outcome, I am pretty sure what I am saying is correct.
Sorry, I can't help more.

Ash, thanks for the fast response.
According to this "SQUEAL NOISE FROM FRONT BRAKES DURING BRAKING" TSB (http://www.finishlineperformance.com/pdf/rx8/bulletin/04-001-06-1568.pdf), F1Y4-33-23Z should fit a 2004 with 18" wheels, but I'm just going to stick with the F1Y2-33-23Z since it's not clear to me :scratchhe that the F1Y4 will benefit my car and it costs about $45 more than the F1Y2.

OK, yep you can trust the Mazda TSB's, it is a change in Compound and Shims to stop squeaky brakes....it is really up to you.
Just bed in your new brakes...GENTLY for a few hundred miles and you should get reliable mileage and wear.
rx8cited 05-04-2009, 08:20 PM OK, yep you can trust the Mazda TSB's.......
:dunno: why F1Y4 is not called when the US parts guys do a lookup? They get F1Y2-33-23Z, which was the new part called out by the previous version of the TSB "SQUEAL NOISE FROM FRONT BRAKES DURING BRAKING" , Bulletin No: 04-006/04 , Last Issued: 11/8/2004.
I got those put in my car as part of that TSB, after which she stop squealing like :Drooling_ pig.
I don't see anything to be gained on my car with new F1Y4 for $45 extra, so I'll pass on those for now and save it for .

Sorry mate, but you have to be more specific, what side on the car, I had a quick look, anything to do with the Headlamp (apart from Globes) you almost have to buy a complete assembly, but I can't see any Black Plastic Bazel (Bezel).
Are you talking the Inner wheel splash shield's?
Fog light area?
If you can supply a PIC this would help greatly.

I hit a giant hunk of retread in traffic a few days ago that destroyed the large undercarriage plastic plate (Stone Tray) behind the front bumper. I also definitely need to replace the black plastic piece with the rotary symbol on the lower front bumper. Can you look up those numbers please? :)

They don't appear to supersede, the later one (GJ21) may be a better clip and could fit, I cant tell you this..
Hope all this info helps..

1. I can only show you RHD Diagram, US Models are on the other side, your clutch fluid supply line is also on the other side of the tank, but the "look" is basically the same.
2. There are NO internal parts listed on Brake Master-cylinders for the past 10 years or so for any Mazda's, you have to purchase the complete Cylinder assembly, so I can not show you an internal pics, if you wanted to look.
3. This is all I can show you for the TANK.
REMEMBER THIS IS FOR RIGHT HAND DRIVE MODEL.
You will have to contact a US Dealer for the Part Number on this one.
Slack_sails 05-31-2009, 07:15 PM Hello ASH. First, I'd like to say thank you for the wonderful service you are providing to the owners. Secondly, I'd like to see if you could help me with a little project. I have a 2008 40th anniversary RX8 (USA). The rear portion of the center console has a 12V plug-in in it. That plug-in is switched by the ignition switch. I wish to modify the wiring such that the plug is always "hot". I am hoping that you might be able to publish enough of the wiring diagrams that might give me an indication as to my best approach. Thanks

No problem, happy to help...
OK, I know this sounds LAME, but I have yet to explore my 12 Volt Console Socket, as I have never had a car with one before, I guess by looking at it it is the same size and set up as the cigar lighter (similar).
MY Parts and 09 WS Manual does not have Wiring Diagrams in them, this is a separate publication which I don't have.
I guess you are wanting to run either a 12V to 110Volt (240V Australian) power inverter? or another device, like a portable DVD player.
Provided you don't want to run anything higher than say 15 AMP you should be OK .
To my knowledge all of Mazda applications or accessories run a constant "earth" that is not switched by the ignition switch.
So in wanting to make this outlet constant or "hot" all I would do is trace the + wire as much as you can and splice into it a hot feed...don't forget to block off or remove the original feed.
You obviously have a "Multimeter", I would look around the fuse box down in the foot-well area (LH Passenger side of RHD RX-8's), and perhaps run a feed into there, I think there is even a spare fuse holder you could use so you can have a independent 15 or 20 amp breaker there just for your 12V socket.
That is really all I can suggest and what I would do if I wanted to accomplish the same outcome.
Hope this helps.
Ash
Slack_sails 06-02-2009, 10:09 AM Thanks, Ash. I was afraid that the wiring diagrams came separately. But I was hoping you had access. Like they say down (up) here in Texas "Bless their hearts". They managed to charge you twice if you want the complete set.
Yes, it looks like I'll have to go exploring under the dash and in the fuse block. I am wanting to have a live 12V source for a GPS. If you turn of the ignition, the GPS has to reboot on restart. Annoying.

PS: Just interested why do you require the two top strut bar C Brackets???
conekiller2 07-08-2009, 02:31 PM ash,
thanks for the reply. I actually broke one of the studs of the lh bracket, but figured i would get the part#'s for both just in case i have a problem with the other one. At about $10us my cost here, being that im autocrossing the car and have to occasionally remove for strut adjustment/install(front struts have been of 3 times now) figured it wouldnt hurt to have a spare.
matt13b 07-11-2009, 09:12 AM Gday Ash,
I am looking for 3 part numbers. The first 2 are the numbers for the 2 metal brackets that hole fix the RH oil cooler lines to the car.
The other number is for the RH oil cooler DUCT. Ie: the plastic part that sits to the right of the oil cooler to fill the gap and feed air to the cooler.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Are you coming to the Nationals this year??
Here is the RH Duct (Drivers Side RHDrive ) N3H6-14-708C
I can't see any Metal Brackets that hold the oil cooler lines on, there is one for the LH Side Cooler lines, but showing nothing for RH, I am using the UK Listing as Australia only has the LH Cooler as we know.
It looks like they may be part of the Genuine oil cooler lines?, if there are the small ones you can see, then they are part of the genuine lines.
I have copied ALL RIGHT SIDE lines here, tell me if you can see what you want.
The TOP of the image is the Right Hand side of car, the FRONT (forward) of the car is the Left Verticle side of the image.
matt13b 07-11-2009, 08:41 PM Thanks for that. That is a big help. I can see the 2 brackets I need in the diagram. If I have written down the right numbers I believe they are 14-770 and 14-780. Also, that number for the RH oil cooler duct, is that for the plastic that surrounds the duct itself (ie: encloses the duct) or the one that sits to the right of the duct behind the fog light? I need the one that sits behind the fog light and screws to the back of the bumper.
Do you think Mazda Australia will order these parts for me as they are not parts that they would have in stock for Australian sold RX8's?
OK, you are going to have to trust me on this one, I have spend some time trying to find this other cooler side duct , for some strange reason the UK section does not list either side vent even though UK models had the 2 oil coolers.
So, from my experience I have made up the part number, and I checked it on the US website and it exists...hooray!!
So the Image shown here is for the Australian bumper with the LH duct and LH Part Number...ignore this part number as you need the RH one, I have just include the sketch so you can see roughly what it looks like.
This RH SIDE DUCT is..
Part # N3K2-14-708A
The Main RH Front Duct (front of cooler) is, as before..
# N3H6-14-708C
The Long Mounting Braket..RH
# N3H6-14-780A
The smaller top mount bracket is..
# N3H6-14-770B
OK, As far as availability goes, Mazda Australia usually only imports parts that are fitted to Australian spec cars, however, sometimes with initial ordering they can import parts that are not used on Mazda's sold here (a stuff up), so it is worth a try through your local Mazda Dealer Parts.
Failing that, you can order from Jason in the US, he lists ALL these Parts, you can check the prices on-line from this link below and order on-line, set up an account first.
This is the cheapest way to order from Jason, DON'T order with him via an email he will charge you a lot more.
ALL up it will probably be much cheaper to get all this from the USA, than from Mazda Australia, even if you have to pay for shipping.
Let me know if you need more info.

matt13b 07-13-2009, 02:22 AM Thanks Ash. You are the man! I thought I would be trying to get those part numbers for ever..That's a massive help. I can't sleep at night thinking about my oil cooler lines being held on by cable ties!
No problem, have you ordered them, tried a local Mazda Parts Dealer?
I bet the US price is about half the AU one, that is if they have them here in Oz?, did they?

Scarslett 07-13-2009, 06:54 AM Hello Ash,
Im looking for the Part number for the RH Front Fender inner oil cooler splash guard (the plastic piece that protects the oil coolers from debris from the tires). US 2007 6MT
Thank you in advance!!!
EDIT: oops sorry, didn't realize that there were more than one page of posts till I posted mine :(, and I see that someone has already asked for the dirvers side part number. Is the passenger side (RH) the same number?
NO..
There are two pieces..
RH Side..
F151-56-13YB RH Vented Oil Cooler Mud Guard.
F151-56-13Z RH Slash Guard (goes under and around fender to door hinge panel, joins oil cooler one)
Scarslett 07-13-2009, 06:06 PM Cool, thank you very much for the info, now I can search for the correct part :)

I haven't spoken to Mazda yet but am told the parts department at West End Mazda in Sydney may be able to help so I will try them tomorrow. Thanks again. Are you coming to the Nat's??
matt13b 07-14-2009, 02:18 AM I just spoke to west End Mazda and they have the 2 brackets available in Melbourne, so that is good. The Duct they don't have on their system but will try to get and call me tomorrow. So going well so far..
matt13b 07-15-2009, 03:16 AM Update. West End Mazda can get all 3 parts! Which is good news. All 3 parts are less than $100 too. The duct from Japan and the 2 brackets from Melbourne. Thanks again Ash..
Wow... that is cheaper than Jason from the US?...for a change..good to hear.
Sorry mate, can't make the NATS... :)
matt13b 07-16-2009, 08:58 PM When I turned up to pay they said it was $173 in total. Must have been some miscommunication over the phone(benefit of the doubt). Anyway, it is something that I sort of have to get done. I also got 5 litres of MRO while I was there for just $55. Considering Artarmon Mazda wanted to charge me $88 for the same thing I think West End Mazda in Parramatta is a very reasonable place..
Sounds OK Matt, and a good price for MRO, I pay $48....the other parts would have cost you about the same from the US, including Shipping...so all is OK...
Great to see you are using all the correct genuine parts to do the job correctly.

GrifNasty 08-04-2009, 11:08 PM Think I got what you are talking about.
Your "Bumper Hangs On" got me and "Cover"...
Are you talking the black backing around the headlight itself which then bolts to part of the bumper?... if you are it is only available as part of the headlamp assembly...suxs.
I'll try to clarify, I could use this part number too.
If you peel the fender well back, unscrew the side marker - pop out the side right where the side marker is as if you were taking off the bumper. Its the plastic piece under the headlight where the front bumper "clips in"
- Is that the black backing part you mentioned in your quote?
Thanks much

Silver Fox 09-16-2009, 03:06 PM What a generous person to go to this trouble, ASH8! I am really hoping you can post the diagram and part numbers for a front bumper assembly (or the parts directly below the bumper) for a 2007 RX-8 LHD touring model. About a third of the decorative piece under the bumper is shorn off, and two of the protective panels below that (that face the ground) on the driver's side are missing. That may involve more than the bumper assembly. Any help is appreciated.

funny i was just going to ask for that same diamgram/ part number lol
I like to put something back....
I can only supply info for Australian and UK spec cars, BUT, 99.9% of LHD and US Spec is in our cars..so, when you talk Front Bumpers , two types with Halogen Lamps, and Discharge (with Headlight Washers), so take your pic, most USA cars don't have headlamp washers..I think..
Once you have your Part Numbers, do a price check on the Trademotion.com (Montgomery Mazda) site, it if number comes up it will fit your country.
Last..If you are wanting more numbers let me know as I cant fit all of it in screen.
If you want the black under covers let me know, basically 3 pieces, it's already in this thread..
So is the Bumper come to think of it...look back

Silver Fox 09-16-2009, 04:44 PM Looks like it's the one on the left. Can you tell me the part number that is cut off the bottom of the screen shot that looks like a bolt or screw? I believe it's another part #5320. Looks like I need to replace part #50-732C for starters. Also, I'm a thread novice, so I couldn't find the post concerning the "under covers," but that's eactly what I'm talking about as my second part issue. Can you please advise where I can find that set of diagrams or part numbers. The one I know I am missing is the driver's side (LHD). Thanks a zillion!
Yes '5320' is a screw/bolt # 9CF6-00-516B..
w_hari 09-19-2009, 05:41 AM Seems like somebody is doing an awesome work for the community! Thanks for that. So I also would be interested in a part number - I would need the number for the 40th anniversary rear wing from the UK - which seems to be different than the one on Australian anniversary cars! The UK version has two extra bars in the middle and a limited badge on each side! So maybe you can help out?
thanks Ash,

You are talking Rear 1/4 Panel?
And If So, what side?
As far as I can recall the 40th Anniversary Badge was on the front TWO Fenders Only above Air Vents.
The cars Panels are no different to any other Series I RX-8.
The EPC I use is for Australian and UK Mazda's..which will also cover 99.9% of all other regions.
In fact further checking shows the Rear 1/4 Panel Part Number Supersedes to the exact same one used on 09 Series II RX-8....so they are all the same for all RX-8 models in this case...even the USA Model...
I don't know what you are talking about with the "two extra bars in the middle"??.
F1Y1-71-410F Goes to FEY2-71-410A LH Rear 1/4 Panel
F1Y1-70-410F Goes to FEY2-70-410A RH Rear 1/4 Panel
w_hari 09-20-2009, 08:57 AM No, I really meant the rear wing. At the link there is the best picture I could find from it. There you also can get a glimpse at the badge on it. The Australian anniversary wing looks more like the 2009 wing.

mcain 09-20-2009, 10:44 AM Thanks for helping out the 8 community here, boss.
Quick question: What is the brake fluid capacity on an AT '04 RX8 GT (sports brake package)?
Thanks for your help!
OK...It is called a Rear Spoiler...or Boot, or Trunk Spoiler..
I am using the Australian and UK EPC Parts Catalog....
The Series 1 Called the 2003
The Series II Called the 2008
In Series II (09's) they list only One Type of Spoiler (Large) under 8 Different Part Numbers according to paint colour. F197-51-960B 16 (59,67, etc, Color Code).see attachment.
The small Spoilers are just the Lip ones..
In Series 1 (03-08) Including 40th Anniversary there are over 30 depending on colour.
FE15-51-960B 01 (12,16,38 etc Colour Code), these appear to be ONLY the Small Lip Spoiler.
The EPC for series 1 only shows the Large Spoiler in the Accessories Section...see attachment.
Part Number FE15-V4-920 Which would be Grey and required painting.
The EPC shows No Other Type of Rear Spoiler in Series I, it is not the first time that it "may" have been left off, however, this same EPC does shows the Two Fender 40th Anniversary name badges, it lists NO other 40th Anniversary Badges anywhere else.
I really do not know about the "limited" badges each side od spoiler, as I said I am USING the UK/AUS EPC, I recall the UK had the white 40th at Goodwood long before other markets.
This would be something you should take up with Mazda Europe, are you sure ALL 40th's in your area had this type of Spoiler with badges?..Could the Limited Spoiler badges be put on by owner?
Sorry I can't help more.
In Series 1 if you wanted a rear spoiler (Australia) you had to buy the Accessory one and have it painted and fitted, none came with Factory Fitted ones, except the 40th here , but again our EPC does not show one at all for the 40th, I am sure they did have them here.
If you wanted me to go further I would have to email my local Mazda Dealer Parts Manager.
Thanks for helping out the 8 community here, boss.
Quick question: What is the brake fluid capacity on an AT '04 RX8 GT (sports brake package)?
Thanks for your help!
The EPC does not give me Fluid Capacities..
I spent some time checking my Workshop Manual, tells me a lot about Brakes but NOT the Fluid Capacity....
Sorry mate, Not sure why you would want to know, if you want to flush and replace all the brake fluid, one Quart or one Litre containers available this would be enough to renew all the fluid.
Hope this helps..
w_hari 09-21-2009, 04:17 AM Ok, so Spoiler is the right term :) Sorry for that... The LHD anniversary models in Europe only have the small lip spoiler, but the UK models definitly have the special OEM one with integrated badges (which obviously are not available seperatly). I found a better picture of the spoiler and attached it. As you said the Australian anniversary models have a large factory spoiler, but it actually looks like the one in the accessoire section and doesnt have the two 'bars' in the center.
The UK models also have scuff plates incorporating a 40th Anniversary Rotary Engine legend together with each cars unique number - which LHD models dont. I guess that can't be found in the EPC either... So maybe you can do some more detective work ;)
Harry

Clearly the Rear Spoilers for the European Models (40th) are different.
I can't help you with a Mazda Part that is not sold or used outside of Europe.
In some cases when you see "Limited Numbering" this is an arrangement between the Factory (MMC) and the Distributor in that region, numbered badging can also be made and installed locally by the importing distributor and has nothing to do with MMC.
As another example, Mazda UK goes overboard with "Limited Numbering and Naming" of the MX-5 and even the RX-8..., the rest of the world does not see.
And yes, the 40th RX-8 here had the Chrome Sill Scuff Plates and the silver engine cover, and the Bilsteins..
From this point I can't source anymore information, I suggest you contact your Mazda Dealer in Europe.

RotorWheeee 12-28-2009, 02:19 PM Has there been any change to the water pump on an 2004 6port?
Specifically I just got a new engine installed and was going to have them install my Mazmart pump and the comment I got from the dealer was it was the same as the one in the new engine. I know the housing hasn't changed but was there an update to the impeller?
Thanks in advance
Water pump..
N3H1-15-100A went to a B in 040401, that is 1st April 2004 production..
No Other changes to Series 1.
The Mazda USA reman engine would not have the RE-medy Water Pump, only original Mazda one.
Honestly, my parts EPC does not tell me the changes from the A to B Mazda pump.
Provided it is new I would not worry..
Or you go to the Mazmart Pump...
The Dealer is Not obliged to use this pump...only OEM.
RotorWheeee 12-28-2009, 03:07 PM Thanks
Just a clarification . I had the Re-medy pump and was asking them to put it in at the same time as they swapped the engine. When I picked the car up the mechanic indicated there was no difference between the Re-medy one I provided and the Mazda one so he didn't change it over. I know the basic unit is the same but the impellers are different. Looks like I'll be doing the change over myself once we get back to some warmer weather. Just didn't want to do this only to find out he was right.
Thanks again
Water pump..
N3H1-15-100A went to a B in 040401, that is 1st April 2004 production..

The RE-medy WP's have a different impeller, that is why guys change them over, apart from that there is no real difference.
neverla8 01-01-2010, 05:32 PM Okay well the previous owner of my car apparently hit a curb and smashed up the front bumper which is alright, and can be replaced. However, the inner shroud surrounding the wheel is smashed up as well and cannot adequately hold on a new bumper. I really need to find out what the part is so that I can replace it and finally put on my new bumper . Pictures attached:

Part numbers for US front Bumper (without headlamp washers) etc, is on page 6 and a few further back for the black Inner Splash Shields (the ones with vent holes) behind Oil Coolers.

Hi...and Thanks..
SORRY Guys I have taken so long to respond, my laptop shat itself and I have spend 2 hours trying to reinstall my Mazda EPC, with many issues...anyway I can do RX-8 parts stuff...I am waiting on my new M17X from Dell..
Puddle lights...
All you can buy are the Globes or the complete door mirror, do a search, there was a guy here (RX-8 Club) who was making Pubble light kits for US RX-8's...
Unless you want to buy complete Australian spec mirrors...???, try about $900.oo for two.

Thanks for the reply Ash. Yea I figured as much. Just thought I could get OEM if I worked at it. To much trouble and money. Found the Puddle Light threads. Will go that route. Thanks again.
DanRedRx8 01-03-2010, 03:55 PM Exactly what I wanted, thanks alot
Ash, can you look up a P.N. for me? It's from the tag on a reman engine, but the seller isn't sure if it's a six-port or 4-port.
K H3N3 55
Sorry, the number means nothing to me...not genuine Mazda..
You will have to familiarize yourself with the inlet manifold, can you get a pic of it, check this link, there is a pic there of a 6 port Inlet manifold.

osborg 03-10-2010, 05:56 PM N01 son became the proud owner of his RX8 last weekend. Tried putting xeon lamps in low beam light and has lost the screw that locks the retaining clip. Can you help with the screw size please.
Has also broken a replacement screw he tried putting in place :uh: but thats a different issue. Pretty sure I'll be able to drill it out and re tap once I know the screw size.
I think he'll stick to polishing it in future
