I just purchased an 04 RX8 base model 6sp. Anyway the heat doesn't work. The guy I bought it from took it to the dealer last week and they said the "Logicon" needed to be replaced. What is the logicon? Where is it located and how do I change it? Does this sound like what it is? Thanks in advance for the help.

There are quite a few threads on heaters not working........do an advanced search and put in "no heat" ot "heater". I believe the logicon is nothing more than the selector, so I'll go find that out because I am curious.
Yep...............it's the selector!
You can even use "logicon" in the search and it brought up several threads about heater not working. Suggest you give it a try.

Thanks for the help. I did a search but could not come up with a definite answer. I even googled it and couldn't find out. Once again thanks for all the help. I know what to look for on ebay now.

I wanted to ask a question. I just got my RX8 a few months ago and i wanted to lower the ride height. I was giving a set of DROPZONE Springs for free that lower the car about 2' . My car is completely stock with 18' rims. What do you guys recommend i add to the springs to make sure everything is good ? I'll take any suggestions.

i believe the heater selection dial not working is the result of bad solder joints. Theres a DYI that shows you how to take the climate control module apart and re solder it.

A local guy had issues and the pot/heater knob needed soldered.
Its a thru-hole component and the solder was insufficient inside the barrels (barrels should be no less than 75% filled)
I added solder and hooked it back up. Worked perfectly afterward.
Here is the DIY:
