I found this tidbit of news from Moviehole.net, that Vin Diesel may come back to the Fast & Furious(3) movie franchise. He's currently filming two Pitch Blacksequels back to back...the Chronicles of Riddick.

Sounds quite unlikely, but rumours are surfacing that Vin Diesel might be returning to “The Fast and the Furious” franchise to headline the third movie. According to The New York Post gossip column Page Six, Diesel could be interested in coming back to the series having seen how much bank “2 Fast 2 Furious” made earlier in the year. "Vin is in talks to star in the third 'Fast' movie. His character will return," said one insider. Sounds rather strange. Paul Walker would have to take a walk if Vin were to do the film because according to Walker, Vin hates doing two-handers. Thanks to Coming Soon.

The Pitch Black sequels would be interesting... That particular character has developed somewhat of an underground following with a fair amount pre and post speculation around that character life.

F&F3? God, why o why..... ;) I guess if it makes money they will keep making them...

He was so hyped up and then he made some terrible movies that flopped. So why not make another terrible movie that will make some money :p

Even though it is ricers god (fast and the furious) I would like to see a third one with Nice 8s in them. But if they do that it might bring the 8 down to civic levels. Or it can be a hit and make the 8s sell faster and more which could mean RX-7.

It could happen, well in my world maybe.

They rice indeed, but the movie got a couple of decent looking cars. If you take out all the dumb stickers and bunch of neon lights they look aite. The supra and the rx-7 in the first one look cool IMO.

Vin Diesel hasn't been living up to his hefty price tag in some of his recent "hits". He saw that The Fast and the Furious did fine without him and it looks like he wants back in so he can star in a movie that actually makes some money again.

Hopefully F&F 3 will bomb ending the franchise and Vin Diesel.

Or maybe they'll get a clue and try to make a more legit movie about street racing, though I highly doubt that... Dookie, judging from your post you may want to avoid calling other people dumb asses. ;)

Let's see here: The Fast and The Furious (We call it The Rice and the Ridiculous here!) had drag racing that took 2 1/2 minutes to go a city block, a car that could spin out at 140 mph in a stadium parking lot and not wreck, a "Motec system exhaust" (Motec doesn't make exhausts they make computers!), a car that has to have 2 nitrous bottles because 1 must be slower than 2, etc. etc...

2Rice2Ridiculous has racing that actually turned corners! I was impressed! Cars can now jump bridges and turn corners on city streets at 140 mph. They drive muscle cars because they are fast AND handle good?! The story gets dumber and dumber along with the audience as they watch it. You get the point. How can they go even worse than the first 2? Make a third!!!

First it will need a really stupid alteration to the original name. Something like "The Fast and the Furious 3" would just sound too dumb to them. How about "The Fastest and the Most Furious", or "3Fast 3Furious"? Better yet we'll take a cue from that damn Final Fantasy game series that just won't die. Just like Final Fantasy X-2 we need "2Fast 2Furious 2". Now that sounds really dumb and highly worthy of the series.

Now we need cars that float, have left wheel drive, are lowered with hydros yet race in a baja event on BF Goodrich drag radials, have some scenes from a Swedish rally event, bring back Vin Diesel as a rouge mechanic and part time goat herder in Mexico, have that Brian dude be an undercover AAA wrecker driver/ formula 1 race car engineer and then set it all to some 3rd world version of dance music interlaced with rap. Better yet we'll have Madonna and Brittany Spears team up as the other drivers/ girlfriends with Ricky Martin as their mechanic. Osama Bin Laden can be a race official! Add to this a really poor story line, lousy visual effects borrowed from an Atari 2600 and a bunch of aspiring actors who don't realize this kills any hopes of being successful in Hollywood and you have the 3rd movie.

They need to quit while they are behind. We've already gone from bad to worse. I guess the only level left is worst. You would think you can't go lower than rock bottom but I bet a new movie will prove that one wrong.

You misread the audience. In this church you have to play to the choir. That shot across the bow did nothing but add to the bewilderment of children coming to grip with a new toy and seeing what it really is for the first time. Give them a break with their imagination, it's a wonderful time to be children. Crank it down one notch RotaryGod.

Its hollywood not a life about a street racer. Sure its dumb and ridiculous but hey you watched it. They're not going to change the script or change how it should be viewed bcz u don't like it. Also Final fantasy is the shit, and I hope it never ends.

Yeah, I agree with moogle, the film is dead cheesey and unrealistic but it is Hollywood. It's just a bit of fun. By the way, Final Fantasy in really good, even if it has got to 10.2.
Edit: Just watched that little movie, it was really funny.

I wouldn't mind an RX8 as the feature of the FATF3 and having the 8's resale value go through the roof like it did for the Supra after the first movie... :p

hey has anyone seen the trailer for the third movie? Its a cartoon and straight up hilarious, the spoiler have spoilers and they drive up the side of buildings. I was rolling with laughter even though i watched(and own) the first two movies. I just like the cars in the movies, yes the acting sucks but an r34 is badass if erkle was behind the wheel!

The Supra resale was already out of the roof. The first movie was enjoyable--the second was pure garbage--the 3rd itiration will still make money no matter how it is; plus if Vin Diesel is back it will definately be better than the 2nd.

Bad idea. I was a huge fan of Pitch Black, but The Chronicles of Riddick was laughable. Way too much testosterone in his character. Every five minutes he was doing the one-handed ripping off of his eye visors to show how angry he was.

BTW, anyone else interested to see a movie with Vin Diesel and The Rock pitted against one another? It would be great to watch The Rock pound Diesel at the end of the movie. I like Vin, but The Rock is so much cooler.

The Rock in 'Be Cool' was hilarious--I hadn't laughed that hard in the movies in a long time.

No matter wat u guys think of 3F3F , there is no doubt that y'all will pay to see it. ;P

The fast and the furious and 2F2F where both pretty laughable, but still worth the couple bucks to watch. It is entertainment, nothing more, and no more rediculous then movies like RAMBO or ROCKY, or any of the countless movies where the good guy goes through hell and still prevails in the end.

On another note, I would love to see Vin and The Rock pitted against one another. I mean if the retard Jason (or is it Michael Meyers?) can go to space, then The Scorpion King can battle Riddick.

I don't mind Diesel, will see what the last part of the Riddick trillogy is like.
