Brake Master Cylinder Brace

I know some excellent examples of this are available commercially, that's where I got the idea off these forums. I was looking for another welding project after my track tire trailer since I bought a MIG welder last fall. I saw pictures of the Mazdaspeed shock tower brace and I thought, heh that can't be too hard to do with the original OEM brace. So I went to Home Depot and bought a $6.00 piece of 1/8" flat bar and a can of Rustoleum and this is what I ended up with. I only drove it around the block so I don't really have a feel for its effect which is probably only going to be evident when I go back to the track in the spring. But I think it's going to work out. For anybody with access to a welder it was a relatively easy project. Please no snide comments on my welds, I think it matches the OEM bar without looking stupid.

Yeah, welding cheap $50/hr. Grinding so it looks like I know what I'm doing, $200/hr.

And for swoope, $400/hr?

Nice work. Keep waiting for someone to put out a 4-point with a brace but I may have someone do this for me.
