View Full Version : How I envision Hell... ATL RX-8 12-12-2003, 03:45 PM Pretty funny. mental pimp 12-12-2003, 09:29 PM lol, they should have a spot for all the bad country leaders, like Sharon matt 12-13-2003, 08:44 AM For a second there I thought you were going to say "indianapolis" which is where I am now. It sucks here. It's cold, snowing, cold, windy and cold. I CAN"T wait to head back to Los Angeles. Matt "I am not in the middle of nowhere but I can see it from here" wakeech 12-13-2003, 02:33 PM  a cold hell??? but yes, assholes that block the passing lane deserve to die... and die hard... but a slow kind of hard that lets them realise just how wrong they are. what bothers me the absolute most is that they seem to think that the passing lane is the "fast" lane, and by going a measly 5 - 10kph over the speed limit that NO ONE should want for a higher speed... well goddammit, i like getting where i'm going expediantly (and safely, i must add) and by blocking the lane that's suppost to be open for cars that want to pass you're only rousing me to flash you further with my high-beams (which is a right i reserve and excercise quite often, unfortuneately). 93rdcurrent 12-15-2003, 07:00 PM Living in Washington state where it is illegal to use the passing lane on a highway or interstate unless you are passing at the time is frustrating. Many of the accidents that happen on the freeway have to do with people who are not obeying the laws of the road and choose to be in the "fast-lane" doing 55 mph just like the person next to them in the "slow-lane". Of course they are doing this on a dry sunny day when the speed limit is 65 mph. If you pass them on the left that is considered unsafe so why don't they ever get pulled over for driving in the passing lane illegally? I have to say though that Idaho and Oregon drivers are the worst about this. My favorite move is when you are catching up to someone who refuses to get over and they hit their brakes  . This should be considered assault with a deadly weapon and they should be sighted as such. Kaliken 12-15-2003, 07:11 PM while I do agree that sitting in the passing lane sucks, but I usually do the tap the brakes get off my a** manuver quite often. A lot of the time I am in the carpool lane with a lot of traffic and some dumbnut wants to make me go faster(and drive up the rear end of the car infront of me) by tailgating me. So I give him some brake lights and he has to back off. Net result they stay off my precious 8's rear end.. silvercloud 12-15-2003, 07:32 PM Yeah, I've tapped my brakes at some Ford trucks and SUV's riding my tail too close. Don't know why it's always Fords- a little "sibling" rivalry perhaps? If I had to stop- they would be all over me. Never, ever do that if there isn't somebody in front of you. If somebody tap their brakes because I flashed them or just want to get around them, my reaction is the total opposite. I accelarete and tap the guy in front of me with my bumper. You never know when you'll run into a crazy A$$hole like myself. I guy a used to know just pulled out a gun. He was the nicest, calmest guy I know, but if somebody pulled this maneuver on him, he would go ballistic. :D Originally posted by Kaliken A lot of the time I am in the carpool lane with a lot of traffic and some dumbnut wants to make me go faster(and drive up the rear end of the car infront of me) by tailgating me. Tailgaiting and flashing lights are wrong in this scenario!! In this case, TG and flashing is rude. wakeech 12-16-2003, 02:40 PM Originally posted by desmo996 Tailgaiting and flashing lights are wrong in this scenario!! In this case, TG and flashing is rude. maybe I should have clarified that about 90% of my driving time is in heavy traffic so normally there is always someone ahead of me.. As a result of this traffic, I do get a lot of flashing lights at me (couple times a month) when I have to cut some idiot off to get in the carpool lane.. I normally get the common "ohh look he has his blinker on ... well I am not going to let him in!" syndrome. Bastards.. Otherwise I am a perfectly respectful driver. also in normal driving situations, flashing lights would be the first suggestion for me to slow down. I remember driving in snow storms in Upstate NY(used to live there) and people would flash their lights warning you.. Once it helped me miss a deer that jumped right in front of me! If you get that irate driving maybe you and your friend should seek therapy. There are better things to get mad at... such as why the USC is not playing for the national champoinship, etc besides pent up rage isn't good for the blodd pressure! :p but in all seriousness I will be the one flying down the road if I could. So stay off my A**! mental pimp 12-16-2003, 03:32 PM Originally posted by DisneyDestroyer Do you mean leaders of bad countries, or bad leaders of countries? So stay off my A**! As long as you move to the right if you see me coming when there is no traffic and you finished passing someone. My wife and friends also think I need therapy. :D I'm on a 12 step process, but some of the people out there make it very difficult. |
