never gotten a ticket. never ever even been stoped.

with the 8? 0 with all previous cars? maybe 3 or 4.

I've had 6 sports cars but never a ticket in any of them. It's embarrasing, but I always get them in the wife's #$%^ minivan.

Total, 4 on my record - 9 total (in 10 1/4 years of driving). That doesn't count the two times I was stopped and got a warning.

17...none with my 8. When I was 16 I got a 97 Z28, then a 00 SS, those 2 cars killed me......but, I had Ted Tetravich(attorney in Bedford)

possibly close to 20.. speeding, no front plate, expired reg/inspection + many more.

With the RX-8, Zero so far. Doubt I will now that I'm older and slower :)

My previous car, 95 Civic, 9 speeding, 12 fix-its, 4 accidents. Fun times being a reckless youth.

None so far with my 8. On the one hand its only been 2 months. On the other, I'm gonna try and keep it that way. In 35 years of driving - 16 of it in 7s I've only had 3 for a tad over the limit.

Why is it so surprising that someone doesn't have a ticket in their 8. I mean ALL cars will get to 70 on the speedometer at some time. And the 8 doesn't get there any faster than the majority of other cars. It will probably run out of gas before it can get too far anyways.

...man, I'm just upset about this last one. I think the guy had it out for me.

I'm driving north and there is a car in front of me on the freeway last night. As I'm driving, I notice a car farther back and I watch my back - always. I look very closely in the rear view mirror - I see those "push bumpers" as I start to slow away from the car ahead of me. That car continues to drive and increases his speed to ~72 73 mph. The CHP pulls up beside me and then passes me. The other car on the down hill is clearly speeding and the officer follows for a bit and then takes the next exit off the freeway.

I'm headed to a church Christmas program with my nine-year-old; I am not driving faster than the flow of traffic.

The officer re-enters the freeway and I am waiting for this of course, Cal CHP do this all the time. I get off at the next exit to head to the church and he follows me and turns his lights on. Embarassed that now all my church members are now going to see this, I make an immediate right turn off the main drag and turn toward the CHP headquarters just 100 yards ahead of me, but pull over.

I never react to officer's when receiving tickets; I'm always respectful and polite. I just couldn't believe it; that this is what he was ticketing me for. I felt like saying, " so what happened? did you forget that there was no doughnut shop on that exit? I am so ready to fight this. I was not to close!!

...What about the guy who sped away? I stated nothing of my disgust that I was receiving the ticket. I just smoothly cooperated and let him do his thing. I figure if you react to officers, they remember you and make a point of being there in court to fight the ticket if necessary - just because you say the wrong thing and the wrong time. I just think he had it out for me.

I think this is a real drag.

It appears that he decided to ticket you before he exited and only did THAT to try to catch you in another offense.

I feel your pain. I almost never get ticketed when I really deserve to be. It's always a lame situation like this one.

You can certainly fight the ticket and I suggest that you do as long as you never admitted to doing anything wrong. Usually the police officer who pulls you over will ask you if you knew how fast you were going. Always tell them you were going (enter correct speed limit in the blank space) "______mph". They keep a record of what you say and use it against you in court. So if you were pulled over for following too close you and you were asked by the officer if you were you should say no (respectfully of course). If you say that you weren't when you were pulled over they also are required to put that down in their report as well.

3 tickets..2 of the tickets were at the same time..lol not in the 8 though...haven't had it long enough.. first 2 tickets...was back in the day highschool..i was skipping...driving wreckless...speeding..and yeah passing red lights ...my 3rd ticket...driving on 95 north to orlando fl..and i got caught doing 106 on a 70....he was going south bound..while i was north bound..he chased me 6 miles...didn't know i was going to fast or i wouldn't slowed down..lol finally realized it was me he was chasing when he pulled up next to me :(

i've had atleast 20 warnings though... my bro's a cop..and i'm a chick..so i get away with alot...
