I will be Sea-Foaming my car between tomorrow and Friday i would like to know if it is necessary to change my oil right after or can i run the car with this stuff in it. I plan on putting it through the vacuum line, and some in the gas tank. Any input would be greatly appreciated, Thank You.

^^the man is right..he seems to always have the right answer... but at any rate, the reason is that because teh sea foam is not getting into your oil and into the combustion chamber only, it is not necessary to change your oil. you oil will not be contaminated by the seafoam.

It can dillute and enter your oil... ever seen the oil after using the water method? milky... I can smell the sea foam in the oil after I do it. One can probably wont hurt, but I have to disagree with swoope on this one from personal experience. You should change it.

i guess it would depend on how much sea foam you are using and how you are using it.

Why not follow the TSB procedure, get it into the chambers and let it soak? Running it through the engine via vacuum line might create a nice smoke show, but doesn't give it much time for softening carbon deposits in the seal grooves.

Putting it through the chambers huh? Is this better than through the VAC? and why?

Okay i just check the TSB, the one that i have says to put it through the VAC line. Could you send me the link to the TSB you are referring to, i have a feeling mine is incomplete.

I know of ppl taking out the plugs and putting some in the plug holes also drawing some through the vac lines and letting it sit over night then firing it up!

and have you seen the oil after the h2o treatment after it has been driven and up to operating temp for a while.. the h2o goes away like the milky stuff on the dipstick.. :)

it the best method were to be done would be to seafoam it just before you needed to change the oil.. but that is just me..
