I am selling my custom Dash Kit Setup.

This includes:
Custom Made Double DIN dash unit to replace the current radio. This item is painted piano black to match the current setup.
Custom Radio setup which allows the AC Controls and Dash screen to work when you remove the old radio. I had this installed in the glovebox with the wires extended to it.

Total Cost when I had this done: $650

For Sale for: $75 OBO

Thant is the radio next to the black trim. I think the thing in the glovebox is the back of the stock radio.

The first picture shows everything removed from the car, it is the custom dash unit and the stock radio (modded to be installed in the glove box).

The second picture shows just the dash unit.

The third picture shows how the glovebox will look with the stock radio installed in it from the first picture.

To install this, you will need to remove your stock radio, extend the stock wiring harness about 2 ft. and route it to the glove box, install your double din Unit, install the custom dash piece, install the stock radio that I am providing in the glove box and connect the wiring harness. Everything will continue to work properly with this setup.

The stock headunit is not a 6 disc changer.

okay, so now the only question i have, (please bare with me) if you are extending the stock wiring harness to the stock stereo in the glovebox then what isthe point of having the 2 din space? so you can put in a new head unit (gps, fold out screen, etc) in there. since you are units the wires to run to the glove box, then there is no need for a new head unit? because the wires will have been used? right.

I know i'm not getting it, i just want to figure this out, cause i really want to take out the stock head unit and drop in a flip up display.

No problem.

What you do is extend the wiring harness to the stock radio only because the stock radio controls the A/C and the small LCD display with the Temp, time, etc on it. So that way you don't lose any of those functions, then when you install the new headunit, you hook up the headunits speaker wires to the stock speaker wires (removing them from the stock wires that you extended) so the sound from the new headunit will now drive the speakers. So what you end up with is a two din space for a double din headunit, such as the Pioneer or Alpine.

I had this one installed which gave me, DVD, TV, Bluetooth, and XM: Alpine Headunit

This set up will give you the ability to replace the stock radio system with a more powerful system and because i am including the already modded headunit you won't have to mess with yours and that way you can take the whole setup out if you ever sell the car, etc and put the old set up back in.

not to thread crap, but a new metra kit is the same price, and you can pitch the entire stock radio with it.

Thanks for your very useful input! Either way I put or best offer, if anyone was interested in making an offer and getting both pieces for cheaper than the metra kit.

I think your best bet would be to put it on ebay and see what you get there.

Yes it does have the Bose system. The Bose amp is feeding the front speakers and a new amp is feeding the back speakers. Sound was output directly from the head unit to the original wiring with the back speakers removed from the AMP.
