Sea Ray 12-11-2003, 03:12 PM But.....come to think about it, this is post # 69 for me and I have only driven my new car 11 miles! I am way ahead of Mikeb using that ratio!
wahoo 12-11-2003, 04:12 PM November 25th (17 days) and 1,600 miles already. At this rate I'm going to be doing 35k miles a year. I drive way too much.
Wahoo!
brothervoodoo 12-11-2003, 05:52 PM For those over 10K, how is the stock rubber on the bridgestones holding up?
eclps0 12-11-2003, 06:00 PM For me they suck i will need new tires in about 5000 maybe 10000 miles.

yeah its a typo, im ooout of it
lets just round the figure to 5,500 :) :)
rotarygod 12-11-2003, 06:23 PM Should there be a decimal point in there somewhere?
I average somewhere around 25K miles a year but I don't own an RX-8 yet and the RX-7 doesn't get most of the miles. It's a good thing too. My little Honda gets 32 mpg when I'm doing bad and 35 mpg when I'm doing good.

haha, nk. Instead of tracking miles per gallon, we should track how many posts per thought. Mike would def be leading the pack. We might even have a divide-by-zero error. LOL

I can take a joke but if you are insulting my intellegance then F U
Squidward 12-11-2003, 08:06 PM I have 8900 miles on my car right now. owned since 8/16. spent roughly a $1000 in gasoline so far.
(see my mileage log)
Sea Ray 12-11-2003, 08:12 PM Looks like your last was OK, but not much fun?
Squidward 12-11-2003, 08:19 PM no, unfortunately, I got a speeding ticket :( so I gotta play it safe for the next 18 months...
Sea Ray 12-11-2003, 08:23 PM The manual should state that "MPG will go up 20% after your first speeding ticket." Unfair but probably true :)
Squidward 12-11-2003, 08:34 PM LOL! yeah, really. But notice in my log on 11/4 I got close to 20mpg also, but that time I don't remember ever driving like a senior citizen (like I do today)... otherwise I would have noted it in the log.
Sea Ray 12-11-2003, 08:38 PM I did not notice any change from using 87 vs 91 oct fuel, could you tell any difference in driving?
DeNile' 12-12-2003, 05:46 AM Squidward why you using that cheap A$$ gas??? Car gonna start sounding like a diesel in a lil while.
RX-EVolved 12-12-2003, 03:36 PM OVER 11K HERE
powers 12-12-2003, 03:50 PM How has the car been for you? I am considering the car but do a lot of highway travel. I was wondering how comfortable the car is on trips? Also have you had any relibality problems? Thanks

NO RELIABILITY PROBS AT ALL. I HAVE BEEN RUNNING ROYAL PURPLE 10-30 RELIGIOSLY, ADDING ABOUT A QUART EVERY 1500MI. I HAVE THE SPRORT TUNED SUSPENSION SO IT IS A TYTE, STIFF RIDE. AFTERALL, IT IS A SPORTS CAR AND FUN AS HELL!

i disagree. Take a look at my log, the different octanes made very little difference in mileage, nor did they have any affect on performance.
You're welcome to spend your money on more expensive gasoline it makes you feel better... I happen to put time and effort in making my decision. For a person who drives 100 miles a day, the cost of gas isn't something to ignore...
The manual says using unleaded is okay, so i'm doing nothing wrong. And if anything does go wrong, I'm covered with my 100k extended protection plan.
No worries here.
Twin 8s! 12-13-2003, 09:25 AM We bought our black one on 09 Sept and I have 6496 as this morning....
