Who do u think has the most miles on this forum per ownage.


10123- owned since aug 24

i think if i am in the upper part of owners. i had my car for almost 4 months and i already have 10123 miels on the car.

You got me beat, 7/28, 10013. Just broke 10,000 yesterday. Waiting until the car hits 30,000 before I do anything to it.

i think in 3 years i will have about 90,000 miles i am going to order my intake when i get my damm card from mazda.

I must be a wuss with 5000 miles on the clock, owned since July 26th 03

But.....come to think about it, this is post # 69 for me and I have only driven my new car 11 miles! I am way ahead of Mikeb using that ratio!

November 25th (17 days) and 1,600 miles already. At this rate I'm going to be doing 35k miles a year. I drive way too much.

For those over 10K, how is the stock rubber on the bridgestones holding up?

For me they suck i will need new tires in about 5000 maybe 10000 miles.

I average somewhere around 25K miles a year but I don't own an RX-8 yet and the RX-7 doesn't get most of the miles. It's a good thing too. My little Honda gets 32 mpg when I'm doing bad and 35 mpg when I'm doing good.

haha, nk. Instead of tracking miles per gallon, we should track how many posts per thought. Mike would def be leading the pack. We might even have a divide-by-zero error. LOL

I have 8900 miles on my car right now. owned since 8/16. spent roughly a $1000 in gasoline so far.

no, unfortunately, I got a speeding ticket :( so I gotta play it safe for the next 18 months...

The manual should state that "MPG will go up 20% after your first speeding ticket." Unfair but probably true :)

LOL! yeah, really. But notice in my log on 11/4 I got close to 20mpg also, but that time I don't remember ever driving like a senior citizen (like I do today)... otherwise I would have noted it in the log.

I did not notice any change from using 87 vs 91 oct fuel, could you tell any difference in driving?

NO RELIABILITY PROBS AT ALL. I HAVE BEEN RUNNING ROYAL PURPLE 10-30 RELIGIOSLY, ADDING ABOUT A QUART EVERY 1500MI. I HAVE THE SPRORT TUNED SUSPENSION SO IT IS A TYTE, STIFF RIDE. AFTERALL, IT IS A SPORTS CAR AND FUN AS HELL!

i disagree. Take a look at my log, the different octanes made very little difference in mileage, nor did they have any affect on performance.


You're welcome to spend your money on more expensive gasoline it makes you feel better... I happen to put time and effort in making my decision. For a person who drives 100 miles a day, the cost of gas isn't something to ignore...

The manual says using unleaded is okay, so i'm doing nothing wrong. And if anything does go wrong, I'm covered with my 100k extended protection plan.

No worries here.

We bought our black one on 09 Sept and I have 6496 as this morning....

My GF and I got ours on 11/20/03...as of today, 12/13/03 we have 3,700 miles on there. After the first week, we already hit 2000.

I was going to disney. My MPG was 19.9 At 85 mph and about 4 times in the 100s.
