I'm waiting on few plumbing parts and harness to get the engine started.

fyi, engine's been sitting in a dusty warehouse where the top half had layer of fine dirt with all the orifices of the 20b open to the air.

I really rather not take the engine apart if I could help it. is there anything I can do to clean the engine before starting it?

good news is that e-shaft seems to be turning smoothly when I tried to turn it with flywheel.

i was suggested that I add brake cleaner directly into the fuel injector holes, then drain it via various holes. doesn't sound quite right to me, so any suggestions are welcome..

if fine dirt won't interfere with apex seals, let me know too.

thanks all.

Is it dry just the motor? or is it filled with oil/coolant?.....if it's jus tth dry motor hot soapy water is teh best to clean it...of course b sure it's clean and dry before start up!

probably not seafoam because i want to wash the engine before i crank/start it?

also soap water would be good but how would i wash the inside with soap/water and dry it out without taking the block apart?

Cranking it with Seafoam isn't a big deal...just jump the starter and you can get it to spin.....I wouldn't use water/soap in the combustion chambers...

everything is still all sealed up? yeah it would def b hard to get it dry that way the only way i could think would b slowly spin the motor by hand while washing it out the used compressed air in the spark plug holes or intake ports(depending how much apart the engine is) compress air would b about the only way but if everythg is still sealed sea foam would prob b the best crank by hand and when ur ready to fire it up it will just burn up wahtever is left
