im only kidding. nice miata. i love miatas, but i wouldnt trade my 8 for one...maybe a mazdaspeed miata...no actually. haha. but i would like to get an old one to tinker with as a project. I think that style that you have is definitly the nicest looking of the 3 generations. sorry to hear about the 8 going though. its the miata feeling car with space for more than a 3 ring binder and a boatload of quirks. haha.

well my rx8 had too many problems and mazda nor the dealership wanted to fix it i got tired of it breaking and the warranty 4500 away from being gone. so i said f-it and got something else the miata has 87,000 miles but upon research they are good cars so so far i'm happy with it

and i went from a 550 car payment to a 225 payment. i'm not complaining lol

why ?

my car had tranny issues, broken 2nd gear, the engine wasn't working right, it was bad on gas. I needed something more fuel efficient and not so high maintenance. the rx8 is actually sitting in front of it. i haven't gotten rid of it yet.

I agree, the Miata is a much different platform than the RX8. Clearly a good performer based on the amount of them you see racing every weekend.

not comparing my miata to an rx8 but i will say that i am happy with it, and the fact that no one wanted to fix my rx8 under warranty made me get rid of it. I just dont' think at this time financially i can handle a high maintenance car. My miata handles great and it's fun! perfect car for me.

maybe the older versions arent comparable but i hate to tell you guys the newer NC like the one i have is the same platform and parts bin shares a ton with the 8

Anything Mazda is cool and if you had a bad 8 I do sympathize - so far the only thing wrong with my 8 was a rat committed suicide in the air conditioner, and a mouse ate the compression belt on the air conditioner. Good luck with your new car...

Why is a RX-8 caled an FE. Look at your Miata's VIN and it should be obvious.

like i said i'm not comparing them, but i have alot of fun driving my miata then i do the rx8 right now with all the unfixed problems.
