i was told by a dealership in australia that it just needs to be cut and the chip coded, and i talked to a dealership around where i live and they said they could do that.

I want the case that can fit the key.

I have the key from Mazda Australia as a preorder present but not the case.

It will be good as you can put the remote there.

Can I get them seperately?

Takahashi, if you live in Australia you should be able to get it. just get in touch with the parts dept of the dealership you got you rx-8 from and ask for part # (F151V0455).

Not to burst your bubble but I was just at the dealer yesterday and had them attempt to code the key to work with my 8 and it does not work. My dealer tried coding it twice with no luck. See the thread here (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13933&perpage=15&pagenumber=4)
