Problems with big big brake upgrade
Something like STOCK is best.
If you are running giant tires, an upgrade might help, but I can trip the ABS with 275s out back and 245s in front, so unless you are on race rubber, you will not see a performance benefit from bigger brakes. (Unless you are having real heat issues.)

I know right, and Hawk states on there web site they state; low brake dust B.S., low noise thats B.S. too. Maybe it was just me or a bad set of pads but I had them on in the blister heat of 100-120 and they still sucked.
Great stopping power but all the rest is for craps. I like the oem set up. Get the mastercyl brace and change your brake fluid often if you track or drive in the rain a lot and your good to go.

I'm using front project mu 4 port BBK with 345mm rotor, rear Autoexe standard size 2 pieces slotted rotor. What I can say is, not so practical for town use (need to look at the back before braking, to avoid butt being kissed :D ). Use the master cylinder stopper on standard brake will be good enough. BTW, the original front caliper is super huge, the cyl size looks scary when removed. Like 4-5 ports all add together. Pay few times of pad price to have a bbk is just a waste if not use on track. I bought it more for cosmetic purpose. Regretted, but since the kit was expensive, need to use for a while before can let it go.
Import and Modified both tested the Mproject mU system right after SEMA in 2005 and both found it performed worse than stock.
Braking distance was increased by more than 15 feet and pedal modulation was sketchy at best.

Good spot!
I've gone and replaced just the rotors with slotted & cross drilled ones and l have to say, there isn't much difference from stock (not that l've done any test, just been once on the track to be honest). Probably best to keep that $2000, unless you really need to change your rotors?
