I've been a fan of Ansa exhausts - great finish and sound. They don't have an 8 yet - anyone else interested.

View Full Version : Ansa Cat-back Exhaust Info ang 12-09-2003, 08:10 PM I've been a fan of Ansa exhausts - great finish and sound. They don't have an 8 yet - anyone else interested. http://www.ansaexhaust.com mikeb 12-09-2003, 08:16 PM I've never heard of them ang 12-09-2003, 08:25 PM They are OE on Ferrari, Lambo and Alfa, But also have an aftermarket line. They have a distinctive "Euro" sound (anti - rice) mikeb 12-09-2003, 08:28 PM if its anti-rice I dont want it matt 12-09-2003, 08:30 PM I had a ansa on the 308 and on the 360. BEST EXHAUST EVER, but they only sound good on V-8's or above. Not sure how they would sound on a rotary. mental pimp 12-09-2003, 09:14 PM Originally posted by mikeb if its anti-rice I dont want it damm, how old are u? i was a ricer my self in my middle school days, after that i grew out of it, and its time for u to let go of the rice too mikeb 12-10-2003, 12:26 AM Originally posted by mental pimp damm, how old are u? i was a ricer my self in my middle school days, after that i grew out of it, and its time for u to let go of the rice too Please, you can't drive yet what did you grow out of??? video games, remote control cars-- Dookie_Rx-8 12-10-2003, 12:43 AM haha mental pimp 12-10-2003, 07:54 AM Originally posted by mikeb Please, you can't drive yet what did you grow out of??? video games, remote control cars-- hehe, i barely play video games, i never had a remote control car in my life, and ill get my restricted soon, *mod edit* matt 12-10-2003, 08:14 AM Originally posted by mental pimp damm, how old are u? i was a ricer my self in my middle school days, after that i grew out of it, and its time for u to let go of the rice too Last year? bureau13 12-10-2003, 08:25 AM You guys have to let go of this rice thing...most of you clearly don't even know what the term was coined to mean. Putting a TURBO sticker on an econobox is rice. Putting a giant shop class wing on a POS that can't get out of its own way is rice. Putting a huge muffler tip on the back of a stock exhaust is rice. However...just because a 4cyl engine through an open exhaust...or for that matter a rotary...happens to sound buzzy is NOT rice. A functional, if somewhat obnoxious-looking wing like the RE Amemiya may not be your thing...but its not rice, not on a car with any reasonable aspirations of high-speed track driving. It also does not mean "anything Japanese that I don't drive." If you want to use it to refer to all Japanese vehicles, be my guest, but if that's the case may I suggest http://www.z28.com as a possible alternative to this forum. jds Originally posted by mental pimp damm, how old are u? i was a ricer my self in my middle school days, after that i grew out of it, and its time for u to let go of the rice too XeRo 12-10-2003, 08:34 AM [ how the hell were you a ricer anyway?..you can't even drive...people like you are such a waste of forum space...and what is that with the threat crap ...any body else see that $hit? What do you mean by this new gay ass fads U really did not have to put gay in there? So if you don’t mind it change what you wrote! Because there are gay people on this forum including me and I think it was very immature and uncalled for to write that. Well now get back to the exhaust if anybody fines out any info on it keeps us updated. Elara 12-11-2003, 01:03 PM Argh. Please don't use "gay" as a derogatory form. Not cool. Everyone calm down, get rid of your offensive statements, and discuss exhausts. Or else. eclps0 12-11-2003, 01:21 PM I will talk about the exhaust since Elara told me to (LOL) ok now really are there any pictures on the exhaust yet. mental pimp 12-11-2003, 02:28 PM Originally posted by Jhouse i think mental Limp or mental stench would better suit you but what would i know. I was merely looking for opinions and likelihood of them making an exhaust for the 8. Enough said. Dookie_Rx-8 12-12-2003, 11:00 PM Thanks for your email and interest in ANSA exhaust products. At this time we have not yet produced a direct fit RX8 system, however, it is a car we are working on. I did notice that in the last 48 hours, we received three RX8 inquires and I wanted to know if you were part of a club or message board where perhaps we had been mentioned. I would like to discuss possibly working with you and other early RX8 owners as possible BETA testers should we develop a system for the car. Please contact me by phone or email and we can discuss the car further. Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best regards, Paul Barry ANSA Automotive Parts Distributors, Inc. I got the same email we'll see what happens. bureau13 12-13-2003, 08:21 AM I don't think you're going to slap on an exhaust and its going to suddenly sound "euro," whatever that means. The engine type has a lot to do with the sound too. jds ang 12-13-2003, 09:46 AM I've been a fan of Ansa for years. They have a top quality product which is OE on high end cars. As far as sound I agree with bureau, it depends alot on the engine. I think the rotary would complement the typical ansa sound. We'll see. wakeech 12-13-2003, 02:10 PM Originally posted by bureau13 The engine type has a lot to do with the sound too. jds piston size and displacement (huge impact), head shape, header tune, port sizes, rpm, etc etc etc. mufflers can change a sound a lot, but they can only change what's coming into them. the wankel engine in naked race form has a very very lopy and blatty idle, with a banshee full-power scream: few engines compete volume-wise with an open-ended rotary. |
