I'm looking to get a set of sway bars for Christmas. I was going to get some anyway, but the girlfriend said she would give me some money for them. So should I go with RB or Mazdaspeeed. It's a daily driver with stock suspension. Just looking for some better cornering during spirited driving. thanks

 

RB bars are a bit stiffer than MS bars.

how would you compare the hotchkis to progress tech?

 

I have RB and I love them. Definitally noticed a big difference!

 

Hotchkis are hollow front and rear. PT rear bar is solid. Both are adjustable.
They seem to be relatively close to each other in range of overall stiffness. Both can be set stiffer than the RB bar.

 

^My thoughts exactly...they are very similar in stiffness. I got my Hotchkis for the adjustability and cost.

endlinks? are adjustable endlinks really that worthwhile at least for a mostly street car?

 

I would think MS bars if you're running a coilover setup with higher spring rates, or something like the progress bars if you're running a spring/shock combo. I think, unless you have awesome roads where you live, coilover rates + progress bars would be a bit too much.

I am curious about this myself and what to get. I have stock suspension and would like to know how it would affect the car. I dont want the ride to be too harsh but would like less flex. I know getting springs/struts help more with roll but, I dont corner the car that hard much. I do notice more flex than I would like though. What are any of your thoughts on this???

 

I'm running stocks for now, getting a set of EVO-R's here shortly.

Definitely something you can do yourself, took about 45mins to do mine.
