I saw this in the accessories brochure, and it caught my eye...The car pictured here seems to be a manual transmission (ie, has the shift nob) but clearly has the pedals for the automatic transmission. Am I wrong? I know the brake pedal on my MT is much smaller than the one pictured.

I have attached the picture in question.

Uh yeah, it does look like the floor pedals are for an automatic. But more importantly where are the shift paddles on the steering wheel?

That would be cool, if the clutch was on the shift knob.
Clutchless would be awesome...

What probably happened is that the photo company messed up on the final editing, and it could have been completely electronic, or it could have been a freak car for the photo op.

As an example, I have worked with a lot of photographers in the vegas area. An example is where one did food/drink shots all the time. Most of the time, especially for the drinks, you would never be able to drink it! And if you did, you would surely be in the hospital afterwards. Same with some food shots, too!

Could it be the X-man car? I heard for exterior shots they had a 7 with some kinda body kit since there were only 2 "real" '8s in the world when they made the movie, and those two were hand-made. The interior was fabricated especially for movie shots. So maybe they put a stick to make it look like a manual, but it was really auto. Pure speculation, but you know Hollywood: Everything is fake. I never saw the movie so I don't even know the color of the car in the flick.

Probably a prototype picture. The BMW M3 CLS has both a paddle and a shifter but the shifter is just for sequential usage not an H pattern shifter.
