05rex8 12-14-2008, 07:55 PM I saw that too last week....those look sexy :Drooling_
I want.
HockeyRX-8 12-14-2008, 07:56 PM Yep....it's their new exhaust......sexy piece!

Those guys need to advertise their product here lol; I love this exhaust, looks baller. Wonder if they will make a single.
2tone 12-14-2008, 07:59 PM that's crazy. why the blue color? is it from the process of making it or for style or what? that muffler design is sweet though! any word on weight?
imput1234 12-14-2008, 08:01 PM ^The muffler's and the tips are made out of titanium.
05rex8 12-14-2008, 08:02 PM the blue color is for making it look like sex. plain and simple.
the only draw back I see with this is they used rivets for the tips...they must be titanium. my agency power exhaust uses the same style and they started to rattle after a few thousand miles
2tone 12-14-2008, 08:03 PM here's a bit more info from their website, but no word on weight. no claimed hp gains that i saw - which is refreshing. but anyway. sound and weight are my interests...i've been thinking about getting the borla so this could be a nice option...

imput1234 12-14-2008, 08:03 PM This would look a lot better if it was single and angled. I just send them an email asking for info on this. The price is around 1K.
05rex8 12-14-2008, 08:03 PM my god imput...your dancing bananas in your sig are giving me a headache!
05rex8 12-14-2008, 08:05 PM I wish you could buy this exhaust without the midpipe
imput1234 12-14-2008, 08:06 PM my god imput...your dancing bananas in your sig are giving me a headache!
hahaha

I think you can, you you contact them. At least you could with their old design.
05rex8 12-14-2008, 08:09 PM hmm, I may consider this...although the rivets on the tips don't sit well with me. If I knew the Agency Power's tips started rattling after a while, I would not have bought it
2tone 12-14-2008, 08:18 PM I wish you could buy this exhaust without the midpipe
ugh good call, it's a cat-less midpipe, which is not street legal, right?
imput1234 12-14-2008, 08:20 PM ugh good call, it's a cat-less midpipe, which is not street legal, right?
Well, if the exhaust is too loud by itself, it's also not street legal.

i just noticed that. you could probably take it to a local shop and get it welded, no?

rivets are a must. afaik, its really hard to weld different metals together. apparently titanium and stainless steel dont play well together. or something. at least thats what i remember reading.

it can be done, just not easily
i think they should redesign how the tips attach....like with the HKS Hi-Power it bolts on I think...the rivets just don't do the job....too much heat and causes the rivets to separate and rattle like it's a pile of junk
05rex8 12-14-2008, 08:36 PM ugh good call, it's a cat-less midpipe, which is not street legal, right?
I wouldn't want the midpipe because I have a dual resonated midpipe that keeps things quiet...I would have no use for the one supplied

anyone else comment on this set-up? his experience makes me write this one off immediately if it very likely to rattle at some point...for that much money i'd want it to last w/o having a cheap rattle sound.
szym0n 12-14-2008, 08:58 PM wow looks beautiful
Beauge23 12-14-2008, 09:07 PM i have the old system and the tips are riveted. i put 14k km on it this summer and no rattle. and the catless midpipe, is retarded loud. i think i might find a highflow one for next summer. other then that the exhaust i have is high quality, all the welding is flawless and looks good.
Kadavr 12-14-2008, 09:15 PM I am waiting on their S1 exhaust, it had been shipped off on Thursday, so hopefully it wont be too long before I get it.
This is the reply I received in regards to the difference between the two exhausts:
"FOR A DAILY DRIVER , FOR SURE YOU WANT TO GO WITH S1-T , S1 MAKES THE SOUND DEEP AND NOT LOUD. THE R1 IS MORE PREFERRED FOR RACING USE AND SLIGHTLY LOUDER BUT MAKES A SLIGHTLY BETTER ON TORQUE AND WOULD HELP THE TURBO SPOOL UP QUICKER.THEY BOTH SOUND VERY SIMILAR , DEEP AND BEAUTIFUL FLOW SOUND.
THE S1 IS SURELY ENOUGH FOR STREET USE AND SMALL TURBO APPLICATION.
UP TO 350HP RANGE , THE S1 IS THE BEST CHOICE.
FOR OVER 350HP AND MORE , THE R1 WOULD BE THE BETTER CHOICE"
2tone 12-14-2008, 09:28 PM they'd need to post a video of the sound before i would buy it. right now i'm leaning borla, just disapointed its not very light. i'll check you tube.

Kadavr 12-14-2008, 09:36 PM ^^^ there are a few vids of S1, none of the R1 tho, I was also considering Borla, and JIC. I was looking for a deeper sound and after seeing the vids my mind was made up.
imput1234 12-14-2008, 09:43 PM I could care less about the purpose of the exhaust, the R1 looks baller. The S1 looks like everyother exhaust.
Do you know if they have any sound clips?
Thanks.
Kadavr 12-14-2008, 10:24 PM I don't think you're going to find any clips of the R1 (exoticspeed don't have any clips, and I don't think anyone on the board has this exhaust...).
They were also working on a twin turbo setup, I wonder what happened to that...
imput1234 12-14-2008, 10:39 PM They also have coil overs available for the car, I wonder how those are.
I may actually get this, I love the look.
Kadavr 12-14-2008, 11:10 PM i agree it looks sicks, I was very close to buying it, but then I thought about it and for a dd it just might be a little too loud and not fast enough for all that screaming :uhh:
3DZukini 12-14-2008, 11:11 PM Damn, if I didn't already have my RB exhaust I would have payed the extra for that one, I like the blue.
8 Maniac 12-15-2008, 12:41 AM when did this come out? was it meant to be for the release of the 2009? Looks great but you wont see how great looks most the time...

No clue, I found about this via ebay lol. They seriously need to get on here and advertise parts, they have coilovers, header, exhausts, who knows what else. That no one on the forums have.
Blackout04RX 12-15-2008, 02:04 AM their older exhaust note is the stuff that orgasms are made of. i watched a bunch of videos on youtube, its just sexy. i just wish i knew where and how much, and how to get the cash since im a poor college kid
J8635621 12-15-2008, 02:30 AM It looks like they welded the titanium mufflers to the stainless steel piping going to the tips so I don't know why they dont weld the tips too lol. 2tone why are you worried about the legality of it? afaik you dont have to smog test in austin so it doesnt matter.
volcomx31 12-15-2008, 02:45 AM looks bad ass..
8 Maniac 12-15-2008, 05:41 AM I wish you could buy this exhaust without the midpipe
you can... I searched on google and found a site that had links to 3 different options on ebay... one with header, midpipe and catback, one with midpipe and catback and one with just the catback. Was like $7-800 for the catback I think...

ebay has the cheapest deals.
Fortunate Few 12-15-2008, 01:16 PM wow! that thing looks cool i wonder what it sounds like.
Kadavr 12-15-2008, 02:41 PM ebay has the cheapest deals.
Actually I got the best deal through ExS directly, their service was great and I think it might not be a bad idea to hit em up and let them them know if you found their product cheaper elsewhere and see what they can do for you.
imput1234 12-15-2008, 03:54 PM Yeah, but you get cashback if you use live. Just got an email from exoticspeed, said they are gonna upload the clips and pics shortly.
2tone 12-15-2008, 05:02 PM ^ cool, i'm leaning borla but i'm interested in the sound of this one still.
i forget who asked - i didn't realize austin didn't test that way - i thought i'd get nailed for going catless. doesn't it smell also w/o the cat? i just don't want to mess with any of that. <shrug>
imput1234 12-17-2008, 02:12 PM Just got a email from exotic speed, they have pics and video clip now.

Sounds good!
J8635621 12-18-2008, 02:25 AM It looks cool, but how is that better flow than the last one? I'm no engineer or anything, but it looks like it has an extra u-turn.
