AXIAL FLOW Short Shifter you can find some on here for 200 but they go quick BNIB is like 250ish.

There are plenty of accessories that might work. Some he may already have, depending on the model bought.

I have these & bought them through the above site. Highly recommended vs. the aluminum strakes. Just look at his car to see if he has them already, and check the return policy because some owners don't like them. Weird, right? :lol2:

I have the rear accent from this company & it's great. Cheaper to get the set here than through a Mazda dealership by far.
This site also has other accessories, too. Rotor shaped oil caps and all sorts of other stuff.

The last 2 sites listed above have plenty of things for you to browse. See if something jumps out as something he might like.

The short shifter is praised by everyone who installs one, but may be pushing your price range.

Things to NOT get him for his rx8: racing vinyls, Neons, curb feelers, furry seat covers, that stupid jdm badge most honda civics have on their cars, the vornado thingy that goes in your intake box, any horsepower mod that says it can release 100+ horsepower and isn't a turbo or supercharger, a huge GT wing from an unknown brand and fuzzy dice...unless it's ridiculously funny...

seat covers in general are a bad idea in my opinion - the rx8 seats are nice the way they are (unless you live some where hot and you have leather seats, in which case yes - seat covers are ok)

and as far as the greeny air freshner thingy - as long as it either smells like squash or has something that remotely resembles something in japanese then it's ok...because it'll be JdM TyTe y0!!1 - HOWEVER, if it resembles a jagged arrow head and smells like FAIL...please discard immediately and incinerate :)

Oh, another idea - some new LED's for interior or fog lights (if he doesn't already have them of course)

buy him the petit radio knob.

and clear corners.

make a car payment for him...
