What are some great gift ideas for a RX8 man, for Christmas? :Eyecrazy: :Eyecrazy: :Eyecrazy: ShinkaTeen 12-12-2008, 10:28 AM Axial Flow ShortShifter!!!! . (if he doesnt have on already) greg985 12-12-2008, 10:29 AM how much do you want to spend? dozer 12-12-2008, 10:31 AM ^shinkas got it! istr 12-12-2008, 10:47 AM Under $200 preferably... ShinkaTeen 12-12-2008, 10:47 AM AXIAL FLOW Short Shifter you can find some on here for 200 but they go quick BNIB is like 250ish. but he will love it make sure he has a Manual transmission. greg985 12-12-2008, 11:26 AM age? it may help narow things down 9krpmrx8 12-12-2008, 11:29 AM Voodoo Shift knob http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Performance-Parts/RX8/Interior.html dmc27 12-12-2008, 11:45 AM There are plenty of accessories that might work. Some he may already have, depending on the model bought. Strakes - in Michigan I'd suggest the stainless steel set from the UK - http://www.rx8-accessories.com/strakes-crest.html I have these & bought them through the above site. Highly recommended vs. the aluminum strakes. Just look at his car to see if he has them already, and check the return policy because some owners don't like them. Weird, right? :lol2: Front & rear rotor accents - http://www.rotary13b1.com/c/rx8accents.html I have the rear accent from this company & it's great. Cheaper to get the set here than through a Mazda dealership by far. This site also has other accessories, too. Rotor shaped oil caps and all sorts of other stuff. B-Pillar appliques. These look much nicer than the flat black plastic on the door from the factory. http://www.rx8strakes.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=82 I think the best prices are here, and there are more options here, too. The last 2 sites listed above have plenty of things for you to browse. See if something jumps out as something he might like. The short shifter is praised by everyone who installs one, but may be pushing your price range. The shift knob is a great idea, too. There's a place that does engraving, so you could always personalize the gift. http://www.knobmeister.com/KnobsMetal.htm - hee hee. Knobmeister. istr 12-12-2008, 12:28 PM age? it may help narow things down He is 27 and has a '04 RX8 Atilla 12-12-2008, 01:30 PM I say get him two boxes of his preferred motor oil :yesnod: Idemitsu, Royal Purple, Redline etc. Things to NOT get him for his rx8: racing vinyls, Neons, curb feelers, furry seat covers, that stupid jdm badge most honda civics have on their cars, the vornado thingy that goes in your intake box, any horsepower mod that says it can release 100+ horsepower and isn't a turbo or supercharger, a huge GT wing from an unknown brand and fuzzy dice...unless it's ridiculously funny... dozer 12-12-2008, 01:35 PM ^nice write up atilla istr 12-12-2008, 01:55 PM I say get him two boxes of his preferred motor oil :yesnod: Idemitsu, Royal Purple, Redline etc. Since you didn't state this one, I have to ask... What about Mossy Oak seat covers and greeny air freshner? :uhh: SideOfBacon 12-12-2008, 01:57 PM mazdaspeed spoiler :D of course its 5x the $200 limit :P istr 12-12-2008, 02:03 PM mazdaspeed spoiler :D of course its 5x the $200 limit :P Yeah, he hasn't been "that" good this year! I have to keep it under $200. :) TopGear8 12-12-2008, 02:08 PM If he doesn't have clear corners...that would be a good buy. SideOfBacon 12-12-2008, 02:09 PM rumor is, he has some already tp8 =) but doesnt have front or rear rotary accents or a fuzzbuster :D greg985 12-12-2008, 02:56 PM Since you didn't state this one, I have to ask... What about Mossy Oak seat covers and greeny air freshner? :uhh: ahaha shes got jokes, yes rotary acents would be a good buy Atilla 12-12-2008, 02:58 PM Since you didn't state this one, I have to ask... What about Mossy Oak seat covers and greeny air freshner? :uhh: seat covers in general are a bad idea in my opinion - the rx8 seats are nice the way they are (unless you live some where hot and you have leather seats, in which case yes - seat covers are ok) and as far as the greeny air freshner thingy - as long as it either smells like squash or has something that remotely resembles something in japanese then it's ok...because it'll be JdM TyTe y0!!1 - HOWEVER, if it resembles a jagged arrow head and smells like FAIL...please discard immediately and incinerate :) greg985 12-12-2008, 03:00 PM how much is just the front air dam? She could get him that Atilla 12-12-2008, 03:03 PM ^to get it from the STEALERship - might as well just look in the For Sale forums...she's better off... Oh, another idea - some new LED's for interior or fog lights (if he doesn't already have them of course) ShinkaTeen 12-12-2008, 03:12 PM buy him the petit radio knob. and clear corners. Atilla 12-12-2008, 03:23 PM make a car payment for him... that way he'll have more money to spend on you :yesnod: it's a win-win i tellz ya! dshiznit1489 12-12-2008, 06:09 PM Click on the picture in my sig. ;) Smoke Honda 12-12-2008, 06:16 PM Strakes yo. heheh. kersh4w 12-13-2008, 01:19 PM buy him the racing beat duct. its $145 and will turn his stock intake into a cold air intake. slight increase in hp. like 3-5whp. http://www.racingbeat.com/frmazda4.htm |
