i didnt go out and buy this i modid the stock bumper it cost less then an after market one and i dont like any of the ones with the sharpe edges and big defusers. i think they look to fast and the furious. i think this looks alot cleaner then the ricy one

as soon as i saw it i was like this person must love the 2nd gen eclipse or wanted one but never had one. The big rear bumper only looked good on the eclipse because it was a hatch, and X8's arent so....yeah the look doesnt bug me but is a waste of money.

wow, I'm all for being unique and creative and doing whatever you want to your car but this pretty rough, now it just looks like every other fwd piss crap car out there, such as older Eclipses or Civics for example. Me personally, with the way the 8 has lots of defined lines everywhere, a smooth piece like this just throws it all off, maybe if you could have tried to carry something from the front to back etc. and broke it up a bit and did something creative with the exhaust it might have worked, but right now it takes away too much imo.

looks way to much like this, even the stock civic and other bumpers have some lines and breaks in them at least.

The reason for the black diffuser "look" is to breakup the visual size of the bumper in the first place. Of course this is more noticeable on lighter colored cars. It's a design technique used across every make/model that have them.

so ok im done killn this guy about his bumper lol..but i will give my honest 2 cents. Its pretty unanimous that everyone dose not like what you did with your bumper. i originally thought about completly shaving and blanking out that part of my bumper when i modded mine, but i didnt because i thought it would be just to plane jane and weird looking. the rx8 has beautiful body lines with all the curves to make it a sexy bitch. i say add some kind of definition to what you did, and somthing that complements the shape of the car. not to brag or anything but just for an example ill post a pic of what i did to my bumper and you have already seen a pic of the one i did for a member here. now if you happy with your bumper the way it is dont change a thing. ok im done btw alfy that pic was fukn hilarious
