The year is quickly winding down. The meet this week will be back at BJ's in Addison.

Details in case you haven't been or if your mind is just a little foggy... BJ's in Addison at 7:30pm this Thursday. They are located just west of the Tollway on Beltline (Google Street view (http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=32.957455,-96.827939&spn=0.012675,0.019956&z=16&om=1&layer=c&cbll=32.954172,-96.827968&cbp=1,351.94518866614134,,0,5.6712342778215525)), on the north side of the road. Several of us tend to park way down the east side of the building... just look for the exclusive RX-8 parking lot (by the brown object in the background of this shot (http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&om=1&layer=c&cbll=32.954174,-96.827515&cbp=1,344.7294201795596,,0,10.873299930938602&ll=32.957455,-96.827488&spn=0.012675,0.019956&z=16)).

If you're planning on coming out, please post accordingly and I will make reservations.

I will be out of town, so please be sure to tip one back for me.

Hopefully you don't mind me hijacking this thread instead of creating a new one.

I will be up in Dallas this Sunday for the Cowboys and Giants game. The game starts pretty late (work monday will suck for sure) but is there anything to do/see in the DFW area. I will be with my girlfriend. With the holiday season I'm sure there is something neat to look at.

This will actually be the first time I've been in the DFW area for fun. I'm stealing her GPS so hopefully I don't get lost.

Thanks in advance!

Hijack away, my thread is pretty dead this week.

Couple of seasonal items:
Holiday in the Park (http://www.sixflags.com/overTexas/tickets/index.aspx) at Six Flags ($24.99 ea)

ICE! (http://www.gaylordhotels.com/gaylord-texan/lp/promotion/lonestar-christmas.html?source=gppc-ice=gaylord%20ice%20exhibit) show at the Gaylord Texan ($20 ea)

King Tutankhamun (http://dallasmuseumofart.org/Dallas_Museum_of_Art/View/Tut/ID_242657) at the Dallas Museum of Art ($32.50 ea)

Anything more specific?

Good suggestions, I'm just not too sure on time. The ICE thing looks like something to do. Ever been?

Also, any good places to eat?! I'm sure like Houston, there are a few places that are just amazing.

Time will be my biggest issue. Its a good drive up there and I may stop by to see my family. They are the ones that got the tickets for me.

Hopefully the Cowboys win.

I haven't been to the ICE! show yet, however I am going in a couple weeks (not that that helps you) and I've heard good things about it.

As for food, is there something in particular you're looking for and also a price range?

When you say you are going to the ICE! show, it seems much more emphasized than just the ICE show...lol...

I'm not a big fan of seafood. Really just looking for a resteraunt that is unique for the DFW area. Its fun to go to different cities and try different food.

As far as price I'm not too worried, but less than $100 for 2 people would be nice. Also it can't be too formal, we will be dressed up for football.

Thanks for the help, if any of you guys are ever in Houston and looking for a place to eat or something to see let me know. I know this city very well.

If you want to stick around the area of the stadium and you like mexican food, Mercardo Juarez is pretty good, decent price, won't mind your attire, and, most importantly, has fresh made flour tortillas.

There's lots of the chain fare nearby, like Papadeaux, Olive Garden, etc.

If you want a laid back atmosphere, there's Trail Dust.

If you don't mind eating further away, then that opens up more options.

Steak it is. Thank god I have a girlfriend that loves steak. Sadly I like mine medium and she likes hers RARE.

Thanks for all the help.

This is turning out to be a good weekend already.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I'm guessing that there is no meet tonight...
