Since we have such a diverse group in this forum, is there anybody traveling to someplace interesting or doing something interesting this Xmas break? Personally, I'm traveling to Curacao this year, not so much as interesting as unusual. I'm going to get my scuba certification. It is a short trip (for the baby) and my sister lives there. Every other year we travel outside the US for Xmas.

This weekend my boyfriend and I are going to Disney for 2 days. Its about 532 miles back and fourth. He said it’s an early Christmas present for me. I am so happy right now. But for his present I am getting us a room in Key Largo for a weekend in May.

I will be home caring for my fiance after surgery :/

At least I will have LOTS of time to Zaino the car, put on the Borla, hopefully play with my canzoomer special :D, and maybe just do nothing for a few days for a change.

Hey eclips0, Universal Studios is more fun than Disney to me, but has slower lines. Epcot is cool, but your going during the busy season so be ready for long ass lines. And I mean LONG. They do move at a decent speed though. And stick around epcot until 12 for the really badass fireworks (might be before 12, cant remember). And the fireworks at Dissey are pretty sweet too.

Your looking at about a 3 1/2 hour drive each way, unless you really floor it. or get "distracted" on the way :D

See you in Vegas MikeB
I'll be going to Vegas as well, and I'm taking my 8 with me. I'm looking forward to the 7hr drive to vegas and 10hr drive back :P I live in LA and it usually takes me 3-4hrs to get there. Holiday traffic sux, but it'll be worth it to christen my baby's 1k roadmark at the strip by blowing $1k on strippers and craps.

Taking the family to London to see an Eddie Izzard show and to dine at Jamie Oliver's restaurant "Fifteen". Oh yeah, and to do the "touristy" stuff as well.

Fly. It's faster, cheaper and you can pre-party on the plane.

I'm heading to the cultural center of the world, Chattanooga, TN. Then after that, either too Naples, FL or Charlotte, NC for the Tire Bowl.

Go Wahoos!

I was seriously considering driving from Houston to Seattle for my Christmas vacation. I was going to take a few weeks off since it would take 4 days of driving each way. I finally decided it wasn't worth it after my drive to Lexington, KY. Not that the trip to KY was a bomb, but I did manage to get arrested for speeding on that trip.

As kind of a family Christmas present, we're gonna go on a cruise in the spring. :)

On the 27th I'll be in Champaign, IL for URBANA, this HUGE christian conference that will have about 20,000 college students from all over the world. It's held once every three years...It's gonna be great, except for the 24 hour bus ride. And heck no, I'm not gonna drive the 8...since the conditions will suck =( But I'll also get to meet up with 2 of my best friends who live in IL so I'm crazy excited for winter break...

In my opinion Universal Studios Islands of Adventure is the best one. Epcot center is soooo boring unless you drink some beers. Disney, well I've been there one too many times so I'm kinda tired of it.

I might go to Spain for a week /w my girlfriend to see some family I have over there over this xmas.
