I sort of wish I had bought these rather than the BF Goodrichs I bought now, even though those were $74 each.

wow what the hell.....107 for the 225/40/18's but our car's original size(18" size) 225/45/18 is 232 bucks a piece that is ridiculous for a tiny very very tiny bigger sidewall....

The specs and price have to be a mistake. Too good to be true. Load factor only 88? It's too low for this size of tire.

If load factor is a problem, they also have 245/45ZR17 95W Price: $166.00 (each). Thats about $100 cheaper than others in that size range. Of course, you'll have to have the smaller rim size.

Another thought, these sale tires may have been sitting in the warehouse for an extended period. And tires do deteriorate after setting for while.

TIRES DO NOT GO BAD!!!!! Yes if they are sitting outside in the sun/rain/hail/snow/dust/dirt/blood/gore yes they will dry rot and crack....if they are sitting in an airconditioned warehouse they don't go bad...i've seen tires that are 10 years old that look exactly the same no problems at all compared to the same exact tire that was built within the last month!!!!

So is the load factor an issue?

I doubt this is a mistake. I nearly placed an order to see if everything would go through, and it worked.

I still can't believe how cheap these are.

so is load rating an issue or not? I was thinking about moving to these after my yokos are dead. I would prefer the normal size, but im running 225/40-18s right now and don;t have any trouble. but shoot, for the price, ill buy em and hold onto em...
it makes the tires look a little small to be on 225/40, but the price is pretty amazing for re01r, i don't need tires right now... but the price is nuts.

everything in the world is on sale right now... cant stop spending....

yeah I would like to know too if load is a factor or not however I will confirm that most tyres of 225/40 size are 88 rated.

They look exactly the same until they explode into a million bits and send you careening off the road. Rubber decays over time, dries out, looses flexibility, becomes brittle. Even in a warehouse (and how many tire warehouses do you think have strict climate controls anyways?)

10 year old tires should be junked. They're just not safe.

Personally, I HATED the OEM potenza's. I will not be buying more. Tires are the only part of your car that touch the road, It's retarded to cheap out on them.

Oem potenzas were ****, but s03 pole positions were amazing. Way better than the dunlops or yokohama s drives i've had since. I just would prefer the proper size. I want to hear some reviews of the ecsta xs, which might be a competitor to the re01r. but i wouldn't overlook these due to the oem potenza's crappyness. Have heard nothing but love for the re01r.

I'm more then happy with My Falken RT-615's. I donno. I've been put off to the entire potenza line now. It's the only part of the name I can easily memorize, and it's become synonymous with crap in my head. Maybe bridgestones marketing department should think about that...
