Interestingly, they put the '8 in the "Sports/Performance" category, not "Sports Coupe/Sedan." This has been the subject of considerable debate and dissent in many prior threads.

I like that digital/analog metaphor. Analog, of course, meaning reproduction of pure forms as opposed to digital approximations which are convenient but never as true as the original (vinyl vs CD proponents will know what I mean.) A throwback to the days of real craftsmanship.

Interesting indeed. So far, I have seen the RX-8 being filed into the Sport Coupe category, the Sport/Performance category, and even the 4-door sports sedan category.
