A question
I tried searching the online in alot of places and can't really seem to find a solid answer. Will the short-throw shifter make the 0-60 time which is 5.9 seconds and shorter since there is less shift time? It's the first mod I have bought this morning on axialflow.com I'm not necessarily looking for the better time just wondering if it would help.
Intake and exhaust are primarily sound and feel modifications, they won't add more than a single horsepower each... maybe more if you have an AccessPort.
But, that said, you can pry my K&N Typhoon V2 out of my cold dead hands. It really makes the engine sound incredible - growly and hungry, especially at redline. At the same time, when you're driving "safely", it's sedate and well behaved.

First off, good luck getting a 5.9 0-60.
If you want faster acceleration, you can look at MM for the cobb accessport, or BHR (Charles R. Hill) for a lightweight flywheel or a catless midpipe/exhaust combo.
Or, just get a 55 shot of nitrous. Once again, you can ask Charles R. Hill @ BHR about it.
I have BHRs clutch set up (stage 1 SPEC clutch with ACT counterweight and 8.98lbs flywheel) and the MM Cobb Accessport along with the axial flow STS. I definitely noticed large increases in acceleration and throttle response with those mods. The STS was more of a feel then performance IMO.

So the general concensus of 5.9 seconds is wrong? I'm a fairly good manual tranny driver. I never had it timed or anything it's just what I have been seeing on the forums here since I find alot of good material in the back of the forums.
5.9 sec is achievable with hard launches but requires much out of your clutch and/or tires.....and yeah i guess the ss will make the shift quicker thus making you get to 60 faster in "theory "
^LOL Word of advice Chaos, next time you see 0-60 times look at the street start times rather than the normal 0-60. Its more accurate to what times you will get. In our case C&D got a 7.5 sec street start
