I swear I am not trying to stir up trouble, but why do the mods close so many threads? I understand the street racing threads, and ones that get out of control with insults. I agree with those being closed. But their was a thread about the RX-8 in the snow, "Not a Snow Going Car," that got closed because the issue was "redundent." Big deal. The internet sort of has a life of its own. Threads on the same topic are going to go in different directions. Why not just let them live?
Sorry for the rant, I am just curious about this one.

So the mods have something to do, I guess.

Well, it's a little more complicated than that. It costs something to maintain this forum (right?), that's supported by the sponsors. I'm not certain how it works, bit if the forum is kept tidy, then it's cheaper to maintain, right? Maybe that helps keep the pop-up ads away. On other forums I've been on, it was like watching public television, the site owner occasionally had to ask for donations.

There is no need to have 10 threads going on about the same thing. It can all be condensed in one post. Considering both bandwidth and storage have to be paid, reducing the load to 1 tenth is a hell of a savings.
It would help as well if people used the search button more often to find out if something has already been covered. Every 2 months or so almost every topic is repeated, when one can just find the original thread and continue it.
You know, JUST LIKE THIS ONE :D :D :D
