We are stocking their full line of 52mm and 60 mm Gauges.
Here is a video of the gauges in action, every time you start up the car, they do what is known as their flagship start up.
Video of Premium Gauges!! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CviLt2hjLo)
nuke0907 12-12-2008, 01:57 PM do you stock the premium series gauges?
Race Roots 12-12-2008, 04:45 PM Yes we do, we just havent had the time to add them to the site
Race Roots 12-12-2008, 04:45 PM Send me a pm what you wanted and I can give it to you when you come down here
rx8thunder 12-12-2008, 05:27 PM do you stock the premium series gauges?
How are they different from the other gauges?
Race Roots 12-12-2008, 05:34 PM How are they different from the other gauges?
They have peak and warning settings, so when you have setting to reach a critical point where you want an alert it will flash red.
rx8thunder 12-12-2008, 05:39 PM ^ Thanks
nuke0907 12-13-2008, 12:57 AM Send me a pm what you wanted and I can give it to you when you come down here
52mm oil press, oil temp, water temp, and electric boost in amber to match the stock gauges. i didn't see it listed on their site but is there an A/F gauge too? do these also come with senders? could you PM me the price so i can bring the $?
Race Roots 12-13-2008, 08:32 AM I will send you a PM in a bit with pricing.
Race Roots 12-13-2008, 11:39 PM All Premium Gauges are finally added...
AND ON SALE! (https://www.fluidmotorsports.com/p-103-gauges-gauge-pods.aspx)
TheWulf 12-18-2008, 10:19 AM Still no Wideband AFR Premium gauge :( I must have e-mailed Prosport like 3 times for this :P
That's the only thing holding me back from these... I want all my gauges to match :-/
nuke0907 12-18-2008, 10:21 AM Still no Wideband AFR Premium gauge :( I must have e-mailed Prosport like 3 times for this :P
That's the only thing holding me back from these... I want all my gauges to match :-/
yeah me too. i decided to go with an EGT gauge instead of AFR since i'll be using a COBB AP.
TheWulf 12-18-2008, 10:23 AM I plan on getting the AP too, but having an array of gauges to look at will give you readings much faster than scrolling through menus. Especially at night.
nuke0907 12-18-2008, 10:46 AM Prosports does have a WB AFR, look in the digital series.
that's the point, we want a premium series AFR gauge, not digital.
TheWulf 12-18-2008, 10:54 AM I guess that frees up cash for me to do my tint, SS and fix my AC ;)
Nice! Missed this before. Or Damn You For Making Me Spend More Money. Not sure which...
I'll need the oil temp, oil pressure, water temp amber/white premium 52mm gauges.
Also need any additional parts necessary to install gauges and the carbon fiber oil catch can you're selling. Currently don't have any additional sensors beyond OEM.
I may be towing my car through Orlando in January. Have to double check the itinerary. Might arrange to have it picked up or even installed on the way. PM me when you get a chance to discuss.
Race Roots 12-18-2008, 11:01 AM Yeah we have the Wideband but it is Digital. I cannot think of anyone that makes a wideband with a needle. I have always seen them to be digital.
RK you have a pm coming your way in a few.
TheWulf 12-18-2008, 11:07 AM I don't really mind if it's digital... as long as it blends in nicely with the rest of the Premium series.
Race Roots 12-18-2008, 11:18 AM When the Gauges are off they will look the same but when the are on the only difference will be one is Digital.
nuke0907 12-18-2008, 11:29 AM Yeah we have the Wideband but it is Digital. I cannot think of anyone that makes a wideband with a needle. I have always seen them to be digital.
they have them with needles in the Performance series.

WantedTwo 12-18-2008, 11:31 AM well, now that I'm here might as well ask for a quote on the WB and premium boost
bse50 12-18-2008, 11:57 AM I already have them and they're cheap and sufficiently accurate (compared to an obdII reader).
Guys, if you install them so that they change colour when you turn on the lights remember to have a strong battery or drive a bit around before turning the lights on, because if your battery is weak this won't happen (i have them connected to the cigarette lighter and the ashtray light).
WantedTwo 12-18-2008, 12:09 PM are you sure your not starting your car with the lights on? Thats what causes the confusion for mine.
Race Roots 12-18-2008, 12:12 PM PM's Sent!
bse50 12-18-2008, 12:12 PM Nope, it happens after i turn the car on, with the lights off as well. Since it doesn't occurr when i drive it for a bit before turning the lights on i think that it is a battery\power affair.
I have a weak battery at the moment (plus it's 4 years old!) so this makes sense i think.
Thanks. Good deal and wish I'd paid better attention to your inventory so I coulda saved a few bucks on the Lotek gauge pod. Oh well. Check's in the mail.
If I end up stopping in Orlando I might swing by if you're going to have any modded 8s sitting around. Still have yet to see an FI 8 in person.

The First Mazsport Type 3 car and a whole lot more! :)
georx8 12-18-2008, 04:43 PM Is the amber in performance and premium gauges exactly the same?
Race Roots 12-18-2008, 04:48 PM Is the amber in performance and premium gauges exactly the same?
The Premium gauges have a peak warn feature that allow you to have a preset that when A critical level is reached it will flash and change colors.
Also the premium gauges come with better senders for example the oil pressure sender is much higher quality and ease of installation than the performance series.
As good as the price is for Premium, I would get them over anything else.
georx8 12-18-2008, 06:11 PM Thanks for the answer but i want to know if there is a difference in the illumination between the two series.
Race Roots 12-18-2008, 06:23 PM Same Illumintation in reference to color\brightness

You should have an adapter, Let me get one sent out to you.
Sorry about that.
Anyone have a pic of a non-RB water sensor install? Not sure where the OEM sensor is and know it should be installed near it. RB uses an L bend so the other water adapters won't work there.
Race Roots 02-02-2009, 11:42 PM I put mine in the upper rad hose close to the Radiator.
Race Roots 02-06-2009, 04:21 PM Basic and Premium Gauges in stock and ready to ship.
We also have the Racing Beat Water Adapter if people have different preferences.
Ask about our special Combo Pricing for complete Gauge Pods sets.

rx8speeddmon 02-07-2009, 01:36 AM Can you guys get just the oil temp sender? I snagged a wire and it appears to not be working real well. When I get the oil relocation kit I want to just replace this and would rather just get it all at one time.
Race Roots 02-07-2009, 09:34 AM Yes I can do that.
Thank you
Motomouse 02-07-2009, 03:28 PM Check your pm last time I confirmed side skirts but I didnt get any massage from you :)

G3tR3DDY2GR3DDY 02-28-2009, 08:05 PM man i hope you have more than 30 psi oil pressure!
zencaptain 02-28-2009, 10:22 PM It goes up rather nice when I push down on the go peddle. I am wondering where to set the high end temps for the oil and water? Right now they are at 200 oil and 220 water. I just picked a spot.
Thanks
Race Roots 02-28-2009, 10:26 PM Nice!
\\Konig\\ 03-02-2009, 05:09 PM they will just takes some creative thinking. gregs and i installed mine by wrapping some electrical tape around the back of the gauges so that when you fit them into the rb pod they fit snuggly and perfectly. and you cant see any of the tape or anything from the front. just an idea.
Race Roots 03-02-2009, 05:15 PM Thanks! Maybe I read this wrong, but are you saying the Prosport gauges won't fit the RB pod?
No they do, the Holders don't fit behind it correctly so it sits loose, you need to have a bracket or you can do what Konig suggested.
Race Roots 03-10-2009, 07:34 PM Prosport has now announced that they will be having a matching Peak/Warn Wideband Air Fuel Ratio Gauge Kit (Amber/White) for $245 plus shipping

Dadecounty8 10-27-2009, 12:54 PM I know the Lotek pod is compatible with the Premium Series Gauges which are only 1.25" thick. My question is, will the 2" thick gauges fit?
Race Roots 10-28-2009, 12:31 PM I know the Lotek pod is compatible with the Premium Series Gauges which are only 1.25" thick. My question is, will the 2" thick gauges fit?
I dont think so you would have to dremel out quite a bit, I am sure it can be done but it looking good would be another story.
Race Roots 11-13-2009, 01:58 PM We now have Gauge combo's where you can pick and choose what items to mix and match to make life easy!
Orders can be placed on our site here!

alz0rz 02-27-2010, 01:31 AM It looks like the Prosport gauges stick out a fair bit from the RB pod? Anyone tried to dremel a bit to get them a little more flush? Any reason why that wouldn't work?
HockeyRX-8 03-04-2010, 07:50 PM Got my gauges today...thanks again Brice!
Also, should I be concerned that all the bezels on the gauges are different colors? (in my case, one bezel is dark, one is medium dark, and one is lighter in color)
Race Roots 03-04-2010, 09:42 PM Thats weird..lol Send me some pics so I can share it with Prosport.

csgordon5 04-06-2010, 10:34 PM Hey dont have access to a comp right now but I was curious on the price for Prosport oil/water adapters, oil/water temp guages, and oil pressure gauge with Lotek gauge pod. Thanks in advance.

TeamRX8 04-30-2010, 02:19 AM Ttt ....
Race Roots 05-20-2010, 11:13 AM We are now stocking the External Premium series warning light. For those of you that have low mount pod and premium series gauge this would a great way to mount a warning light in a more viewable area.
Also those that mute the beeping this would be an alternative to hearing the beeping noise as well.
Super easy to install as simple as plugging in a cord.
They can be seen on our website here: http://raceroots.com/index.php/products/mazda/rx8/interior.html

Redshift 08-01-2010, 08:21 AM Does the external warning light only alert from a single gauge, or does it daisy-chain to warn from any one of the 3 (for example) gauges?
Race Roots 08-02-2010, 11:55 AM Pricing to 28310 and are they available for 2009 model?
Send me a PM of what items you are looking for specifically so I know what products to quote for you.
Does the external warning light only alert from a single gauge, or does it daisy-chain to warn from any one of the 3 (for example) gauges?
It only alerts from a single gauge IIRC.
RandallzRx8 08-04-2010, 08:00 PM Pricing for the ones in the video to 28310.
Scoot RX-8 08-22-2010, 12:43 PM Hey Brice ... do you have a T adapter for the fuel sender with the fuel pressure gauge I just got from you? Didn't think to ask for it on the order. Or is there another way to mount it in a RX-8?
Wallets 05-18-2011, 01:18 AM hey i was looking at getting the rb gauge pod and some gauges but it doesnt seem like you guys carry the evo gauges or the halo gauges i am torn between the two would you be able to get a packaged deal on either of those?
Race Roots 05-18-2011, 11:09 AM hey i was looking at getting the rb gauge pod and some gauges but it doesnt seem like you guys carry the evo gauges or the halo gauges i am torn between the two would you be able to get a packaged deal on either of those?
Yes shoot me a pm with what type of gauges you wanted we can get either the evo series or the halo series gauges.
pallas 06-23-2011, 06:57 PM I haven't seen it answered yet, so just to bump it a little -- I'm thinking about RB ashtray gauge panel and ProSport gauges, but from the picture it seems they really stick out a lot (yet ProSport emphasizes how thin they are) - can anything be done about it? Anyone know the dimensions on of the Autometer Sport Comp gauges (thinkness/depth)?
