is my coolant level low? (pics)

i was checking the oil today on my 8 and looked at the coolant reservoir, i dont know if thats the normal level or if i need to add some coolant, hoping you guys would know =) what do you guys think?

took some pictures of it as well...

Looks normal to me.

It should rise when the engine is up to temp.

Right where it should be.
Where did you get that nice white coolant bottle. I'm on my second one and it's turning brown now too.

yeah looks normal....I also would like to know where u got that bottle???? mine is turnign yellow/brown/orangeish haha

okay thanks guys =)

mm: im not sure, but i had a coolant leak and i beleive the dealer also replaced the coolant bottle. not sure though, maybe they didnt change it and you just need to clean yours more often! =P

looks like its a normal level(the additional room is there because the cooling system is pressurized), you did have a coolant leak and had the radiator hose clamps and your coolant bottle was replaced, man that bottle looks way cleaner than mine, time to replace mine too..lol....is your coolant light coming on again?

I change coolant once a year, sometimes more. It will be brown because that's what happens to the plastic with all those heat cycles.

if anyone knows a way to avoid it, I'd be keen to hear it.

ohh okay, you have a much better memory then me!

and no the light has stayed off ever since getting the leak fixed =)

In certain driving manner or certain area with higher room temperature, the 0.9bar cap will let the water dry faster.
