help battery died and car won't stay started

everytime i take my car to someone for something they always seem to run the battery down to the point of absolute nothing. everytime i jump it it seems like it doesn't want to stay started only if choke is on will it idle then after the choke is off the car dies, it doesn't idle right. i have fixed this before not knowing how and now i can't fix this.. i have read the errors and it is only the o2 sensor because the cat is not there. can someone help me out? it is drivable but when i come to a stop either i have to give it a little gas to keep it running or it dies on me.

This happened after installing my radio... I disconnected the battery for about 2 or 3 hours and it behaved just as yours did... I drove it for about an hour and it was still doing it... so I just stopped and let it just idle for about 10-15 min... that seemed to fix it. I am not sure it's the same problem but mine would die after revving or just normal driving after coming to a stop but would stay on with a very rough idle if I just let it sit.

wow,

it is drive cycles. i will not bother to explain that..

this has been a problem for a week yet you posted yesterday? i call fail..

i would read the owners manual first. then go to the dealer and see if they have a clue how to help you..

good luck my friend/ amf.

same thing happened to me and i found out that my alternator was busted. bring it into the dealer if you have warranty because they replaced mine for free.

okay.. the only reason i waited so long to post is because i took the liberty to try and fix it myself and figure it out.. i checked the alternator about three to four days ago and the battery and they are both good.. and if it is drive cycles i have driven it about a total of 15-20 times with a total of about five hours maybe more.

if it is still stalling this is what you check

vacuum leak
loose spark plug or plugs
loose spark plug wire or wires
bad spark plug or plugs
bad coil or coils
bad battery connections
bad fuel pump
