1st I would like to thank all the RX8 club members for supporting our dealership! Over the last few months we have been getting lots of request and parts/service sales from the club which is fantastic. My only request is if you wish to contact me, please email me directly instead of PM's through this site. I try and check daily but sometimes thats not feasable. My direct email is alan@scarboromazda.ca
That will speed up response times for you guys especially if we are dealing with Mazdaspeed stuff that is going out of production, where Mazda only has one or two pieces left.

Out of curiosity will be these be better prices than which we would pay at our own local Mazda stealership?

Politically I cant quote you on the forum stating my prices will be lower. I can strongly suggest that you contact me directly with any requests.

Guys read my post! Certain Mazdaspeed accessories and colors will go or are out of production because of the model change etc. We all know, especially Thief, that yellow body parts are no longer available. If your car is a color that hasnt been produced for few years, Mazda probably will not build any more in that color. The same will go for things that wont fit a 2009. DONT PANIC the world isnt coming to an end! lol

PS: those of you who have discontinued colors, you can always buy silver parts and have them painted. Silver paint is the easiest to paint over, its almost like a primer.

Shitty deal!

Al question - why not the Sportline Spring Set? and seriously that is all the suspension work that should/needs to be done? Why are ppl wasting time and money with so many other set ups?

If someone bought them off you and wanted to swap back for winter to OEM, would you give them a deal on the swaps? I just need/want my car higher for winter driving, hate snowplowing. Thx!

Most people like to spend money for the sake of spending it (lol) or have "read on the internet or a magazine" that its all is necessary. I can go into a long speel about suspension geometry etc, but if you want to talk about it call me directly and I can go through it with you. The Sportline springs are just too much of a drop to keep the geometry anywhere near the correct settings. Its the labor involved in swapping springs and re-alignment each time you do it. At about $180.00 each time that gets real expensive real quick , not to mention the cost of an alignment each time.

Thx Al!! I had the pro kit on my old car and liked the drop and ride, would imagine it's much better on the 8. I'm surprised you don't recommend a different shock setup, even to tighten it up for the track. I like the fact you don't have to do alignment or a camber kit with the pro kit. It's more for next year/summer, but since you mentioned it thought I would ask! I'm sure I will be talking to you more about it then. The price is definitely a plus :)

I didn't say that you didn't have to do an alignment after lowering the car. After any suspension change you will have to do an alignment. FYI: with an RX-8 it is a good idea to do a yearly wheel alignment, especially if you drive it in the winter!

5544.880 - Pro Plus Kit.

No info searched from the internet. But however Tirerack talks about a Pro system Plus kit, which includes springs, shocks, sways as a package. But I don't know if the Pro System Plus kit is the same as the Pro-Plus kit.

Yes that is the drop, no it is called the pro-kit spring set

nothing else comes with that kit, just the springs. It's been called that for a long while now.

I have to be careful with scraping with H-techs. If you are driving the car in the winter i wouldnt want to go any lower. I put carbon splitters on my front bumper to keep the bumper from scraping.

I'm sure! our cars are fairly low stock, even tho the wheel wells don't show it. With the MS sides over speed bumps going at an angle I can some times here a little rub.

Al any comments on that? If the Eibach are too low once you get the MS front on, will the H-Tech hold up?

5544.880 is nothing more than
a) Pro-kit lowering springs
B) Front and rear sway bars
MSRP: $745.20 USD

Packaged into a product code for easy ordering and discounted price. It does NOT include shocks as there are no pro-dampers available for the RX-8 from Eibach.

This is not the same as the Pro System Plus kit; which is not available for the RX-8 to begin with.

I'm going Eibach with OEM appearance front lip in spring 2009. I did some measurements on the before current ride height at the front. I also did measurements of several typical driveway entrances and height measurements on speed bumps and formed an average height encountered.

Then I did some measurements on the effects of road curvature. The road is curved sideways, so as you drive towards a driveway/mall entrance, the back comes up and the front points down. Although my measurements do not account for all possible scenarios, but taking several sample values from what's expected out there, gives me a good idea of what I would be expecting after I drop the Eibach.

Another issue that not a lot of people notice is that if you have the front mudguard, and if your car is lowered; then when you go over a speed bump, on the rebound as you go over, the speed bump may not clear the front mud guard and you'll scrap that piece as well. The front mudguard lowest point is lower than the front of your car.
