I was just wondering who all has traded their rex for an 8, I personally did about a week ago and am totally satisfied. I know shawrf did, because I always gawked over his wrx, but has anyone else?; thoughts?

I was going to trade the WRX for the RX8; but the WRX is too great a car so I kept it and got the RX8.

IKEWRX, I think you can be very funny, and am glad that you aren’t banned?. I have seen your many post. and have never seen you as any more that contributing. I know that this is not the proper place for affirmation and I am sorry but the troll of the wrx boards made me laugh out loud.

I traded mine in as well. She only had 25,000. So far the only thing I miss about the Wrex is my roof rack. Full on downhill bikes don't fit in the 8.:( But that's why I kept my truck.;)

I traded a 2002 WRX for my 2005 RX-8 (it was supposed to be a 2004 black on red leather RX, but now I take delivery of a 2005 black on black leather RX-8 on Friday... long story).

There seems to be a trend here....

I mean does he defend the RX-8 when need be on those boards? The same way he keeps us in check about our cars?

I've actually defended the RX-8 a lot of times on other sites, a few forum members here have seen it and sent me a PM. I have also discussed the HP issue on other sites as well and made a couple jokes about me being a troll over here, which someone tried to get me banned here for a post I made on the WRX forums. I've ever been messaged by SRT-4 owners that post on other sites that I do thanking me for disspelling false claims and nonsense about that car.

I'm pretty equal opportunity when it comes to critcism and praise of any car that needs to be defended. I probably defend other cars here more than I do the WRX, and I do the same for you guys when people talk nonsense about the RX-8 when I'm on other sites.

The WRX boards in general are pretty different from most car boards, you will not find much bashing of other cars, sure it happens but most WRX owners are enthusiasts and just respect other performance cars. I don't really post a whole lot on the WRX boards, I'd say my post count from 4 different WRX boards adds up to about the total amount of posts I have here. The main reason for that is because the WRX is a few years old now, there's just not a lot of new info. So I skim the new threads every day for a few minutes, maybe make a post or two, do a search for something I'm wondering about, and come here to get involved in all the fun drama ;)

Even the kills section on one WRX board I post on is pretty odd. Someone posts a story about how they killed a DSM or something like that. Unlike other boards the responses aren't like, yeah, way to whoop that pos Mitsubishi, out car owns!, it's more like nice kill but be careful there are many DSMs out there that will destroy us. Usually on other sites the kills section is the armpit where lots of arguments, trash talking, and lying occurs.

I guess what I'm saying is the WRX forums are useful, friendly, and informative, but kinda boring :p So that's one of the reasons you guys are stuck with me.

i thought about getting an STi briefly. they would only go a couple of hundred dollars under sticker because they said they only get 1 STi a month?
