This is a quick thread. I am going to take in my car on Wed at 8 AM to get my engine mounts replaced. They told me i need to leave it there most of the day till like 4 p.m., WTF? How hard is it to replace the engine mounts on a 1.3L rotary powered car? I have a 2004 WB with 46k mi and 1 year of warranty to go!

Shops like to give themselves some EXTRA time so they don't have to rush and in case something else comes up.
They say 4pm, but you could get a call at 12pm.

Plus they do not know their schedule for the day on a minute by minute basis.

Yeha i thought it would only take about 4 hours, and i guess better safe than sorry. Thanks for the info. If they tell me they need to replace the whole engine, i would be happy? Mine is fairly new 46k, lol. I would telll them trade the tranny to a 6 spd, lol.

"technically" speaking it takes no more than an hour to replace both mounts.
but u know they need to take hour(s) long coffee break and at least 2 hours of lunch time so ... 4 pm sounds about right. lol :)

What was your car doing that made you take it in and have it checked? Well after 43K ish my dash/gauges started to rumble a little (vibration), and reading the threads on here i also have the VIN located in the range of the faulty engine mounts. So i took it, and also had my passenger side visor replaced, stupid ex broke it. Now when i go on WED i am also gonna tell them about the sliding cup holder thingy. Its gonna be like my 4th time replacing that.
