Ride quality of springs only upgrade?

Do any of you guys have experience with just upgrading the springs? I ask because:

a) the significant other frowns upon modifications
b) the significant other doesn't make much money (i.e., i make more money, thus our income is now become combined, and now she has 50% of the total household income. Grr.)
c) I can't afford to track the car anymore, for above reasons. Instead of going 4-5 times a year like I used to, i'll go maybe once a year. If that.

I'm doing this for cosmetic reasons at this point, and because it's cheaper than buying what I really want: Tokico D-spec (external adjustability) and Racing Beat Springs.

What say you guys?

Thanks,
Paul
-p.s. - relationships don't pay. They cost.

a) time to trade-in for the new '09 model.
b) joint accounts are bad.
c) you need to make time for YOU. If hitting the track is something you truly enjoy, find a way to budget for it and get out there and have fun

If you're doing it for cosmetic reasons and you don't mind a slightly stiffer ride, go for it!

with respect to a), her younger sister doesn't make any money either

Or do you mean MY09 RX8?:P

I guess I'll just save up for the D-specs:P

Thats why I have made sure to keep my women happy. She lets me do what I want even if I really shouldn't. I am sure your wife spends money on things you don't approve. The point of life is to ENJOY IT!! Now leave work and go to the track NOW!!! But on the way there stop at a local tuner shop and order up!
