my new rims :D

these just arrived yesterday. R1 racing drift wrapped in some nitto tires. tell me what you guys think



(yes i need a drop.. that's my next project)

yeah they're 18's. 19's are heavy... but they look better in person. thanks for the comments =)

hey thanks guys =D yeah i'm real happy with these. Took me 6 months to finally decide on a set of rims. hopefully no one jacks them *fingers crossed...

i dunno, they weigh around 48 lbs each (rim + tire).. how much does stocks weigh?

meh. They don't look right to me. I like the rims, they just don't seem to be the right fit for an RX-8

~23lbs. If you can't find the weight of a wheel online then they usually weigh more.

R1s aren't exactly known as a good wheel manufacturer:

I'm not a huge fan of the style since the big lip makes the wheel look smaller. But to each their own. If you like it then congrats.

haha thanks for the tips. i had no idea R1's were laughed at.. i should read up more next time before i buy something. i liked the design so i guess i'll be keeping these for a bit.. hopefully the drop will do something

I respectfully say I do not like them. They dont look horrible but not my PERSONAL cup of tea. Like mentioned before though, as long as you like them then what the hell does my opinion matter

yeah i agree they do loook smalll however....slam....lower ur car and they will look a lot bigger...

i respect your opinion =) yeah i'll get it dropped once i make some more money.. I'm not regretting getting these rims, but it's kinda disappointing to see how bad of a rep R1 has. I was looking at axis hiros before these, but they were a bit pricey for me.. hehe oh well

Nexen tires are not Nitto (fail).


Cheap wheels are cheap... but if you like them then you rock em!
