sunday morning i moved my car to get it washed but i accidentally turned it off right away. I tried to deflooding it by following the instruction on the manual but it did not work at all. This is the first time it happens to me so i don't know what i am doing. Can anyone help me or somebody that is close here in alexandria virginia. I have a 04 rx8 auto. Please i really need help

 

Here is what works for me. Hold the gas pedal down. Crank for 8 seconds and stop for 15 seconds, but keep holding the pedal in. Repeat. let go of the pedal and turn the key. you should at least hear it try to catch. I have had to do this a few times before it started. Once it starts let it run in park until the temp comes all the way to normal. It will smoke a lot! Be mindfull that you dont want to overheat the starter. so the short cycles and give it time to cool after a few tries.
