What do you guys make of this? I translated the surrounding text with babelfish, could that one in the backround be something like the next RX-7?

By the way, Matsuda RX-8 never is not the succession model of the RX-7. It is the sport model of completely new category. While travelling in disguise deeply on the secret reverse side, it is not wrong for development of next term RX-7 to be advanced, and.......

- As for the photograph Matsuda RX-8 where those where it is decended of concept car RX-01, are exhibited to 1999 year Tokyo motor show concept car RX-EVOLV, and these 2 concept cars which from the left are exhibited to 1995 year Tokyo motor show are the new model. In the name of Matsuda RX-8, because image of the succession model of the RX-7 is strong, taking the initial of the RX-EVOLV, you say also the name, Matsuda RX-E was temporarily thought.

The translation is a little rough, but you can kinda get the idea of what their talkin about.

That's the RX-01, which was going to be the model to FOLLOW the RX-7 until budget cuts became a big part of the picture.

It was no slouch; did the dash to 60 in 4.9 seconds, lighter weight and had a neat front spoiler that no car I'm aware of had.

However it is quite ugly and if that was to become the next RX-7 or replace it, I'd see the sales being very low. It's just not edgy enough. The FD is still one of the best designed cars ever made.

The RX-01 was shown in 1995, way before the Evolve concept. It's old, there is a very good video review of it on the net.
