Rotary Nut 12-03-2003, 08:12 PM Originally posted by Senseny I would drive a VW Phaeton No you wouldn't! Not untill you have to deal with their service depts! Believe me you won't. Their "stealership" service dept. forced me to get VW to repurchase my 2002 Passat W8. 14 times in the shop, 32 jobs and out of service 60 days in the 13 months I owned it! Most of it due to VW's intrinsic ineptitude! Shocka 12-03-2003, 10:22 PM Originally posted by mikeb good idea my list would be similar to shocka's list u miss the civic dont ya.. Senseny 12-03-2003, 10:36 PM Rotary nut, Was it the dealerships fault or was the car just a lemon. I know that when it goes wrong for a vw it can go horribly wrong (but I guess as an FD owner I have a tolerance for that). I have heard really great things about the Phaeton and they are and I believe will remain rare, but I am sorry for your bad vdub experience. Neither me nor my friends who own vw's have never had a real problem with their products. Oh well, if my imaginary $80,000 v12 VW went apeshit on me, I would switch to an imaginary $100,000 sl600 amg benz. mikeb 12-04-2003, 02:55 AM Originally posted by Shocka u miss the civic dont ya.. YES Rotary Nut 12-04-2003, 04:37 AM There were a few simple problems but they all usually required 4-7 trips to the service dept. to get them to get it right.
