I have my RX8 for about 3 months and I am so glad I have found this forum. It seems very helpful and interesting and a lot of enthusiasts here. So far no major problems with my rx8. I guess just usual stuff... once oil light came on but it was only once and the oil was fine, never happened again. Now I can here some rattling from the dashboard it really drives my crazy... aaahhh. My baby pulls really strong. I smoked wrx couple of days ago on I-20 it was fun... he just couldn't keep up.. hahaha... oh and once I had a 350z on my tail, I guess the guy wanted to give me a lesson but..... couldn't catch me...oops..

How did you break in your car? There are several solutions posted here, and I'm under 200 miles so far.

I never exceeded 7000rpm during first 600 miles, I never cruised at a constant speed (even on a highway I was varying it from 55 to 85 almost all the time). I didn't race the engine and never kept revs over 6000 for a long period. But then at 700 miles I gave it a proper ride....for about 20 minutes.
