New Guy saying Hi

I just bought the 40th Anniversary Edition and I'm completely jazzed!

It's great to find a club on the net, nice to see I picked a car that is loved.

This is my first New Car and it wasn't my first choice when I went shopping. Heck, I honestly didn't even know much about the car (we did have a rotary engine in my high school shop class years ago...).

My buddy talked me into stopping at a Mazda dealsership and I saw the Anniversay Edition sitting in the show room and fell in love immediately.

Anyway, I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I look foreward to learning from the vast experiences here.

Cheers!

Congratulations.

You have new member to your family. Also, it's just about the greatest drawback free car made because how I see, it only really has two; bad gas mileage and I'm not positive but I'd imagine it sucks going off-roading.

Cheers all!

I'm in British Columbia, Vancouver area.

I've attached a photo of my car as it was in the lot the night I picked it up.

Not the greatest pic, I know, I snapped it quickly with my Cell.

Cheers again, thanks for the warm welcome.

My ears were tingling, I knew it!

Congratulations on your purchase of an awesome car Thromm! You're going to love this car the more you get to know her. You getting the impression you bought a mistress, instead of a car? (Shhh it's a secret)

There is an enormous wealth of great threads on rx8club. The community is second to none in size and coverage. Absolutely anything you want to know can be found in rx8club.com.

On that note, there is also a tiny club in BC that is rockin. We do free workshops, cruises, track days, show & shine workshops (thank you), and have had free BBQs. It's local, and supportive for your everyday super car needs.

Welcome to the club! and Hope to see you out at one of our local events!

Cheers!

Hi Thromm, welcome to the rx-8 community!
I think you've done very well to sign up on rx8club.com to start. For some of us that wanted and needed to form a real life club in the real world, we created BCRX8. Getting lots of info online is nice, convenient, and immediate. But meeting, getting to know and learning from other rx8 owners in person in the local community is a whole different level. Check us out and don't hesitate to contact us, we'd love to meet you one day.
