i have an automatic RX8 and i have a noise coming from the engine when and whilst im driving it it sounds like a heat shield thats loose or a the motor has a funny pinging sound to yet
as it gets hotter it getts louder it only happens at certian rev ranges and under certain load conditions approx 4000 rpm has anyone had this noise in their RX8 auto please respond

could some one please comment on this im worried about my 8

Or, try doing a search on "pnging". Could this be the noise you're hearing?
