Hello all I have an MS3 tuned by Surgeline and I thought that since Surgeline tunes RX-8's I would share this info w/ everyone here.

Tim Bailey, Head Calibrator and General Manager, is joined in this venture by Subaru Calibrator Jeff Sponaugle, Lead Mechanic and Fabricator Dustin Harris, Sales and Accounting Brandon Lumpkins.

We are in the process of wrapping up our remodeling. And will have everything completed for our grand opening!

Who is your rotary mechanic and how much actual history working on RX-8s? Is your shop the old GroundZero shop?

Dustin Harris is the lead mechanic. Tim Bailey is the head tuner. Surgeline purchased PDXTuning's assets and assumed their lease. Come out and chat with them see if you like the feel of the shop and their mentality. I know that it took me along time to find a shop I felt comfortable w/. I don't work there but they are so great I spread the news :)

are you guys going to be doing tuning on the 8 without the accessport? or are you guys doing be doing your own maps for the accessport?

Tim can do custom tunes for the AP. He is the only one in the country right now that can tune MS3's. I bet he is the only one w/ the RX-8 software too. I don't know if he will be creating maps that are for sale. The shop doesn't have an RX-8 shop car to do calibrations on right now.

I just wanted to throw this out there to you guys. Has anyone tried to swap my motor into your car? <2.3l DISI turbo> It seems like it might be more reliable for boost.

There are at least two tuners outside of Cobb that tunes the AP for the RX-8.

You should invite the RX-8 tuner to this board.

i can throw a rock and nearly hit Bridgeport( well ok its a bit farther than that but seriously close like 3 minutes) ill stop by and chat them up and let them use my 8 for the guniea pig under the condition they break it they fix it sorry i miss the event

A custom tune is about $375. That gets you 1.5 hrs of tuning time.
