I just got a rx8 07 touring package with the preium bose system, and i see all this about ipod adaptor and would like to do this but how do I know if this wil work or where to get it. So far all i have seen is 2005. I just dont know where to begin. If could get some much appreciated. Joe! Thanks guys

 

If you perform a search, you'll find a lot of useful information. Basically, the adapters for all model years (2004-2008) function in a very similar way and attach to either the external CD changer port on the back (most of them) or the Tape/MD port on the bottom (Axxiss unit). On 2005 models and up (units with the factory SAT button) you can purchase some units that allow for the display of text on the information screen of your head unit - but it does not auto-scroll. If you have the factory sat radio installed, you cannot keep it *and* plug an iPod adapter into the port on the rear of the head unit as they use the same plug-in.

Search for DICE, NEO, Axxiss, or - one of the favourites here - Audiolink. They're pretty much all better than the OEM controller as they generally allow (in certain configurations) direct control of the iPod when it's plugged in, which the OEM does not.
