Ok all, I'm all set up with the biz and ready to launch a line of new products! What do you all think about Footwell lights. Ah, you might say "Oh, but they already have them for sale Div." Well, I am here to save you money AND offer a wide selection of colors!

Cold Cathode Footwell lights will offer a broader selection of colors and features such as auto-dimming in sequence with dome/map/door lights. An on/off switch so you can turn them on whenever you'd like. Cold cathode lights have a longer life than most LED's when used for this application. Colors such as red, blue, green, white, purple, and UV(tan your feet while you drive!!). These are twin 4" long tubes which emit plenty of light to illuminate your footwells. Detailed install instructions would also be included. Now for the most important part, PRICE! I've seen people and business' selling their Footwells for $50, I will have a firm price $25.

If the the interest is there, I could start production of these ASAP.

Cold cathodes are neat, computer case modders use them all the time but 35 bucks is a lot of money for them.

are you going to include a mounting kit so I wouldn't need to fabricate something better then what these come with

Also, Some of the inverters for them are really cheap, and have been known to explode! (http://www.casemodgod.com/ccfl_inverter_rant.htm) This one burnt up in a computer case getting a clean 12v signal. I can only speculate how much worse the stress would be on the inverter to run on chunky 13v car power.

Keep in mind these are tweaked for vehicles. I have had 6 applications running in 6 different cars, smoothly, for 2 years. No "explosions" whatsoever. I will reconsider the price, I wanted to see what everyone though first. I promise these won't explode.

Mounting equipment would be zip ties (unnoticeable unless you bend over to look for them) and 3M velcro tape.

As long as the inverter isn't a piece of cheap Chinese crap, I'd be interested and feel comfortable installing them in my car..

Ive had no problems since I installed them on my car. It has almost been 2 years since I installed mine. As long as you install it correctly you will have no problems.

I'd probably buy it.... I have the LED lights but I like cold cathodes for some reason. Used them in a couple computers before. Might be enough motivation for me to change all my lights. Red LEDs work fine for footwells but my red interior LEDs make it near impossible to see anything

Dude sounds awesome. Cold cat imo looks way cleaner then leds. I've used them several times in my computers and they light up sexyly.

just a few questions... they turn off when you drive right? how much... and a off topic question about the RX-8 stencils... it says your all out of stock but i thought you had every stencil in stock ?!?!?

Yup they dim with the dome lights when you close the doors and open them. Thank for reminding me to update the stencil section!

I already have footwell lighting. I just have to install it, but it was blue and I think it's gonna look bomb diggity in the WWP.
