Just trying to see if any of the single guys have had any success due to there 8's? I'm driving a black demo until my car arrives tomorrow. I have never gotten so much attention while driving a car, everyone looks. Mine will be Titanium Gray, hopefully I get the same attention. I also noticed cops take notice too so I'll have to watch it. I went with the automatic, I like sticks but I'm usually on the phone or something while driving so a stick wouldnt work for me. But yeah hit me back if you got some stories!!!!

My story:

I take the red stick from dealership for 2 days, pulling out i get looks!
Then at the light, i look over to this white minivan and see these 2 hot teen girls (i'm 17.. so its all good for me to say that :) ). THen i turn back to the road, next thing i hear
"DAD I WANT THAT CAR!!! OMG THAT IS SO COOL!! LOOK HES SO YOUNG!"

VRRRRRMMMM zoom off :)

Next:
Next morning go to mc donalds, park it, then walk in, all of a sudden i hear "damn thats the new mazda!" i look over to see who said that, and it was a girl and her father/grandfather/mother standing by the window gazing at my rented rx8 :).
I stand in line and the guy says "damn thats the new rx8, whoa" i was like "yea it is, isn't it." trying to be a bit humble :).
He says, IS THAT URS!!
Yup :).

Take my order and walk out, girls n family still standing by window, i act like i just want to see the car, and put the key in and open the door.

The amazed faces i saw when i did that was unexplainable :).

Reverse, look back, put on the sun glasses, smile and
VRRRRMMM!

(Btw i think i'm going for the BLACK! auto gt package, spoiler, appearance, and rotary accent).

My husband got hit on a lot in it at first everytime I let him drive it. The dummy always told them it was my car. I told him to at least flirt a little.

Not a chick magnet?? Are you kidding?? I've had nothing but looks, stares and girls coming up. He's right though, guy have been coming up and checking it out to. But it IS a chick magnet. I've never seen so many girls go glazed eyed or get so much attention from a car. Of course I got the bright yellow one, so it sticks out. Especially when I have one of only two in town and about 400miles radius. Anybody looking to pick up chicks...good buy. --Mark

Uh-oh - I guess you didn't know that chicks really dig guys who drive manual transmissions. Most chicks figure automatics are for soccer moms and boring old married guys. Chicks also really hate guys who yak on the phone all the time while they're driving, instead of paying attention to the driving.

err, now that you mention it, you're right...every single person that has unsuspectingly ran up to my car to ask about it has been a guy...evertime i see someone pass me up only to turn around to look at my car has been a guy...

ladies definitely do love the car though...i've had at least a dozen female friends ask if they could drive it...

Well, most women don't gawk... and guys certainly do.

But pay attention... those girls stopped ahead of you at a light flipping their hair around, and checking their make-up in the rear view mirror ARE looking ;)

RX-8+6-speed=womens attention...I bet you can be ugly and still be seen a little.

Denile... get a headset for your phone and you can get a stick, and a lot more horsepower... worth the 20 bucks.!

Definite babe magnet. Guys dig it too, but more for testosterone-induced reasons.

Teenages especially seem drawn to it. It's really fun to watch hot little teenage girls go gaga over the car, then get all frustrated when they can't see who's driving it due to my dark window tint. When the window are open and they can see me, they get all disappointed after the initial excitement (old married fart) then look back again, kinda speculatively. Guess I don't look that bad ;)

It's a total PEOPLE magnet... everyone seem to love it.

Man... This guy in a porsche was totally diggin my car. He drove alongside it the whole to so i rolled my window down and gave him a thumbs up. He nodded then drove next to me on the drivers side and his girlfriend or jsut a friend waved to me and i waved back. Now that was great. not true... I'm doin fine with my Base 6-Spd. A performance oriented girl would be attracted to stickshift. (aka... hot girl who likes cars)

So given what you've all said, it's hard to understand why IkeWRX isn't driving an RX8.

Yeah not quite the same, the WRX is a nice powerful ride though.

Serious chick magnet. Even at my work... I have women talking to me whom never said a word to me about my car... and boy do they want to go for a ride in it.

yet, i believe it is a chick magnet though. It is one of the most attractive cars on the road in my opinion.

I've had the car almost 2 months and I've picked up 2 chicks one's a compulsive gambler and the other is an exotic dancer. And some guy was taking pictures of my car while I was in VA this weekend.

Just got my Titanium Gray today!!!! Rolled up to a stop light, looked over and this girl was staring my car up and down, she saw me looking and then gave me the look!!! Could have easily gotten the #, I got a girl though so this car could be trouble for me!!!

I dunno...Shifting is an art, especially if one can do it well. Women love guys that are good with there hands. Girls know "automatic" and "stick"; not many know transmission or know what it does. Ok, less than 50% to get out of trouble.

Yea i've had countless thumbs up so far. I've even had some chick in the lane next to me take pictures while we were driving down the road.

Thinking about putting my phone # as my personalized plate! LOL, J/K, bet I would get some calls though.

Had the car for a week and a half, women still loving it! I feel like a superstar, and I've only seen one other on the road, in my area.

i'd say more of a dood magnet than chick magnet. i have random johnny's coming up to me and asking about the car. also, my now exgirlfriend didn't really think twice about the car..stoopid girls!
