I know if I decide to replace the stock 4300k lights I have with 5000k or 6000k bulbs I'm going to lose significant visibility. So my question is does anybody have any suggestions on where I can get the best HID bulbs? I get all these websites where some are REAL cheap and some are VERY expensive. Also, I found this thread where this person opened up the headlights of his car, painted them black and replaced his lenses. Anyone out there have an idea of what the title od the thread is? Better yet, are there replacement lenses for the 8? My headlights seem to be dirty and kinda sratched from the inside! I don't how and why but it seemd to come like that since I bought them.

5000-6000k will provide more visibility in clear weather.
More yellow beam is better when it is foggy.

I have aftermarket 8000K for low beam and 2K for fog light.
They look good.

Try Plastic X, might help with dull lens.

i've seen the output difference between 4300k and 5000k. i think that's about as far as i will ever go. you lose plenty of lumens as you climb up. philips bulbs are the best out there.

^ +1! I have Philips 5000K HIDs too.. they're just the right color without losing significant road lighting

agree. there is a difference in output, but i would not be willing to give up more. plus they are pure white!

Im using philips 6000k, was going for the white/blue tint to it look. If you dont care about what colors your bulbs produce just go with 5000k

I personally have 6000K HID in my fogs and Head lights. Plenty of light output, its a nice color temperature. It doesnt look Blue and it doesnt look yellow its white wiht a slight tinge of blue.

I also have Philips Ultinon 6000K's and love them. I honestly can't tell a difference in brightness, but I also don't do a lot of back road driving at night. Great match for V-LEDs white LEDs.
