I was whipping down the 8 yesterday and I noticed two stickers on either side of the rear tire body flares. They are on the forward side of the rear tire body flares and they are clear stickers.

I haven't done anything with them yet as I'm not sure why they are there. Is it possible they were forgot when my dealer did the detailing on the car? Are they there for some higher purpose I am not aware? I would think that if they were put there for transportation purposes(like the white body sticker that comes on the hood) that they would be white as well.

Anyone have an answer?

Those are stone guards. There should be one along the lower sill as well. They are put there on purpose. They protect the forward edge of the flares from chipping caused by detrius kicked up by the front tires.
