I'm thinking of heading out to Eastern Creek on Sunday for the final V8 Supercar round... is anyone else thinking of going?

Maybe we could hook up ?

I'm sure to be going (got the tickets already) however I'm not yet sure if I'm going Saturday or Sunday?

I'll update this thread as soon as I know and I'll PM you my mobile number too

Ended up going today and we just got back from the creek .. great day and a super dominant performance by Ambrose .. He looked to be having almost as much fun as we'll have on Dez's drive night!!!!

I'd recommend taking your own shelter as there is very little shade and it was sooooo hot.

Enjoy

Is it just me, or is the channel 10 coverage crap... they seem to be going to a break just as the action is occuring. :(

it was pretty bloody ordinary to day the least!

hanging xmas decorations was far more enthralling frankly.

actually, I did a year with a mate who at the time was running the video tech team and I got to hang out in the 40 ft long OB trailer full of more IT shit than the QE2, and even then it was more fun watching it on a screen just 10 feet from the track side than even the walk down pit lane..

is it that motor sports isn't so hot in person, or have we all become so brain washed as to what we shoudl expect from events by the media in general that even the real thing doesn't seem as good any more?

there's a conspacy theory hiding in there somewhere I'm sure! Come out come out, where ever you are.

Dito on the "shit it's hot standing out here" too - every darn live event I've been to, I felt like I was in some darn rotisary in the corner charcoal chicken shop. Even on a year it pissed down all day, I felt like I was coooking.

I agree Dez .. technoloigy has ruined a day at the track. At home you get every angle, every incident, and much better views of the pit chicks to boot - and of course no traffic jams, expensive food or sunburn ....

My son of course loves going to the track but mostly to chase signatures in the paddock... he's still too young to be interested in the pit chicks ... althought I did notice him having an extended look at one of the telstra girls yesterday .. he's good good taste that boy !!!!

I agree about the techo thing. I only like going to the track to drive. :)

And Ingall should get his licence suspended or something. Never liked him much before. Now even less.

Cheers,
Hymee

I recon he should have an extended (even permanent) stretch on the bench. Motorsport is too dangerous as it is without that sort of stuff happneing. Ingall has done it before too (about 3 yrs ago I think at Adelaide).
I am a ford man, but that is no way to beat any competitor. Skaify had him pure and simple.
Kinda took the gloss of the Ambrose effort too :(

Yeah, absolutely agree with you on this.

Both behaved badly, but what Ingall did is the (un)sporting equivalent of a batsman in cricket chasing the bowler and trying to hit him with his bat, just because the bowler bowled a bouncer. Immature, stupid and to be penalised HEAVILY
