I live in Chicago, and lately the weather has been around 25 degrees at night and about 40-50 during the day. I have had a lot of ratteling noises from the door panels and speakers. I Don't think the door speakers are blown but I can't tell if the speakers are going bad all ready or if the door panel's are retelling because of the cold weather? Does anyone have any input on this?

I'm not getting any rattling yet, and it's been pretty cold at night here in Vegas.

There's a chance that something in almost any car is gonna rattle. Good thing to do is get some undercoating spray or dynamat, pull the door panels, and spray the door metal (watch for openings cause it'll get on the glass), and shoot the back side of the panel.

Sure it adds some weight, but I usually do this when replacing the speakers in any car that I've had.

I'm getting the same rattles, sometimes on one, sometimes on the other, sometimes not at all. Dunno what's up, but it started as soon as the weather got cold.

I don't notice any rattling in the doors; the roads here are so crappy I hear and feel mainly the tires trying to deal with the generally crappy road surface.

I did notice though, when I had the door panels off, there are two cavities in each panel that have a chunk of rigid foam filling them. Each was held in by two posts, and in the case of my drivers side panel, the lower one was broken. (I glued it with silicone seal)

It may be possible one of these is rattling.

I just bought my new car and while test driving one last time I noticed a very subtle rattle in driver's door, I told them to fix it before I took delivery of the car and that will be sometime next week, I will ask for explanation and share if any details warrant.

I also have the rattle on the drivers side door and it's been driving me bananas. At first I figured it was a blown tweeter but then I noticed it was only rattling at night. Yesterday I tracked it down to the inner door handle cover. I pressed on the upper most forward part of it and it stopped with the pressure. I'm going to pop the cover off tomorrow and see whats up.

I look forward to seeing how it goes, Superfan. The rattle wasn't bothering me at all (I miss things sometimes) until my husband starting pointing it out everytime he got in the car, and now it's annoying me too.
