i like how he didnt say anything about how bad the gas is and hasnt improved at all since it was first introduced in 1957.. and "its the fastest sports car" lol.. what is he smoking. lol.. but he is right about the back seat and rear doors.. sport cars dont need them but it is nice once in a while.. Even on top of that he said it has a PERFECT WANKEL in it. lol.. i guess he doesnt know that they like to blow up.

I agree. There is a reason most of us have probably never heard of this show before. It was stupid. That guy didn't know anything about reviewing cars. It seemed like this guy never even read a car and driver article in his life.

Don't get my wrong. I love my 8. But I know it has short comings. Its not "fast" like a 350Z - meaning in a straight line - and if the rotary is so perfect.... why is the rx8 the only car in production with one? If it were that much better, someone else would try one.

It almost makes me feel like we're the idiots that want so much to be different that we have an engine that is cool, but not nearly the best option for the type of car we want to drive.

Pretty lame, but at least it was kind of nice to see him drive an NSU Spider. Then the Checker Cabs came on and I thought, no way they had rotary engines!

Actually i thought there wasnt a rx1, there was a rx2, rx3, rx4 (Luce) etc but the 1 was called R100.
But the guy is an idiot, After watching topgear at 8, he is a disappointment at 9. Nice things he said, untrue though they may be. He's probably the 2nd worst car show host after the "car crazy" meguiar's guy. Still the show aint bad if you watch it on mute. except for the fact that "101 cars you must drive"?? Who the hell can drive the vette. Theres only ONE with the original rotary and its in a museum. Unless you're a master theif and master mechanic, you aint driving it.

I agree that it was a horrible review, after the first commercial I knew they were done talking about the 8. Can they please get a better host than a comedian from Last Comic Standing? I love the comment about how it will outrun Z's and G35's, he obviously doesn't know what he's talking about.
