I have a brand new MOMO shift ***. I dont know the name off hand, but it is a big round chrome one... I'll get pics up on this too... It comes with instructions and those different size rubber thingys... SOLD

NOTE: Previously, i linked the wrong momo pic from the site... it is basically the same but has leather on the bottom half of sphere.

Can you tell me if the IPod integration unit is compatible with the 04' RX8 headunit. Also I think the headunit has to have a certain firmware version to even be compatibale. Please confirm since you have the manual. I am interested if it is compatible and I am local to OC also.

 

I have a 04 and it is compatible... The manuels are for the rx8, the MPV and i believe the Mazda 3... but it is compatible for the rx8

That kit will work with the BOSE unit?

Also is it the same one that displays the info on the readout?

 

^trex, this is compatible with the bose unit. It will display the menu and song number, but not the title of the song..

 

would you say that it's difficult to find a song you're looking for? I just want to know if it'd be easy to get around the iPod interface.

 

^to be honest, it is not the easiest.. I mean, I was able to use it good cuz all i did was put on a playlist and listen without worrying about looking for a particular song.. but if you have a girl in the car and want to get a specific song on for her, then the easiest way is to go to the ipod itself and get it... But through the controls on the, if you have say 100 or so songs on the playlist, it may take a little bit to find that one particular song.. hopefully this info helps..

Oh, I didn't think you could actually access the iPod itself when it's plugged in. If you can, I'll definitely consider taking this off your hands. Discount if you don't have to ship it since I'm local?
