I did some hiking at Harriman state park this weekend and happened upon a really fun stretch of service road which I ran back and forth a few times. The road was a little rough, but it helped to feed my Sebastian Loeb fantasy. :)

Anyway I thought it would be a cool idea for us to share some google maps of fun driving routes.

I'll go first:
Arden state road in Harriman park. I tried to drive pine meadow lake road as well but the road was closed.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=Arden+Rd+%4041.275879,+-74.150607&daddr=Arden+Valley+Rd+%4041.275630,+-74.088230&hl=en&geocode=12087670256948873326,41.275879,-74.150607%3B4423407413349747987,41.275630,-74.088230&mra=ls&sll=41.26284,-74.105701&sspn=0.054066,0.131149&ie=UTF8&z=14

The road is about 5mi long and I would say average speed around 30mph. The surface was a bit rough so I was being careful, but there are a lot of fun twists and turns. Unfortunately a lot of the elevation changes mean that there are a lot of blind turns. Your level of enjoyment may be correlated with how suicidal you are.

Anyone have any other fun driving routes? I'm going to head up to the catskills next weekend for some more driving/hiking...

That area must be nice to drive. I went to a NYRA meet at Bear mountain a couple years ago and remember there were some really fun roads once I got over the river.
